I visited I Fratellini with a group of friends for dinner. It was not my first time there, but the menu changes constantly.
This time I went for an excellent Tuscan Winter dish: Ribollita. We then shared a large plate of mixed meat from the grill, which is a must-do in this restaurant.
The staff are very professional but friendly and informal.
Highly recommended.

Trattoria I Fratellini is absolutely perfect place to experience a true Florentine steak. The place is run by brothers and they are very friendly and one spoke English with me very well. They gave excellent advice on the wine choice and the steak was cooked perfectly. The fried tripe was perfectly battered. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. To anyone going to Florence it is an absolute must. If I return to Florence I will certainly bring my family to eat there.

This farm to table restaurant is worth the walk off the beaten path. Run by a local family of farmers, butchers, and chefs, this family restaurant deserves your business! The food was delicious, the ambiance delightful, and the service very pleasing. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and everything was cooked to perfection. You can watch them cook over open flame after you watch them cut your steak from the display case. Steak Florentine is what you need to eat when in Florence and this is the place to do it! We are so glad we found this unique restaurant! You don't want to miss it!

This place for high rating but it was a disappointment. We orders the T-bone steak and the cut is up to the chef decide. Once it was cut , waitress came out and show us the steak then bring it back to be cook but never ask how we like our steak. We also ordered polenta with mushrooms and sausage but the dish was flat , no taste even with the mushrooms and sausages. Sausages were thinly slice and there wasn’t many. Our steak finally came out on wooden board very nicely presented cut. I do like raw steak but this was too raw and most of the meat is too tough to my liking. To their defense I can taste the freshness of the steak since they didn’t really season with anything much except for little salt. For the price we paid of total 110$ in euro just for the t-bone, polenta dish, bottle of sparkling water & 7$(3.50$/ pp) for sitting fees charged wasn’t worth it to me

Christian was an amazing server. He recommended the best Florentino steak which was reasonable and plenary to share between the two of us. Our litre of house wine was topped up over the brim and and the cheesecake for dessert was customized to our preferences. Would highly recommend I Fratellini to anyone and everyone!

Beautiful venue and appetizing menu. Waiter didn’t listen to us. We asked multiple times for a red sauce bolognese or carbonara spaghetti for our 4 year old daugter and never got what we asked for. We ordered the mushroom in sauce with our steak and it never arrived. The tomahawk steak was too chewy and raw to eat. We enjoyed the Florentine steak at another restaurant a couple of nights before and enjoy medium rare. We didn’t have a choice of how the tomahawk steak was cooked so assumed it would be done to an edible standard. In the end we just left all of our food on the table, paid, left, and ordered an authentic pasta dish for our Daugter at the hotel. We have been in Florence for several days, ate authentic food, went on cooking classes and have traveled most of the world. Both our stomachs are upset and Trattoria left a bad taste in our mouth. If the waiter isn’t willing to hear you then go somewhere else.

In cities with particularly high tourist populations it can be difficult to find a good restaurant with not only good, quality local food, but also a positive experience with service. This restaurant checks all those boxes and more. The food was incredible and the portions were very big. My table of three ordered; a beef main course and one steak (not a Tomahawk), as well as one tasting platter off the antipasti list. We all left the restaurant full and happy. There was fun karaoke style music in the back and the staff were all very friendly despite it being very apparent that we were touring the area. Very highly recommend to anyone in the Florence area!

We truly spent a wonderful evening at Trattoria i Fratellini.
The place is modern and welcoming, the staff very kind and we enjoyed having a chat with them.
We ate an unexpected and wonderful typical Tuscan first course, "the gnudo", and some meat that just sits in your mouth.
The desserts are also not to be missed! The cheesecake and chocolate salami are recommended.

The perfect aged steak is what I enter a restaurant with the meat at display in a dry aging fridge. They meet expectations and serves the perfect steak Florentine.
Cosy but yet very minimalistic interior. The old building add an extra layer to the modern chairs and nude brick.

This excellent experience was suggested by our innkeeper. The food is exceptional with great flavors attracting locals and travelers. The servers were attentive and the chef was very involved by engaging with the customers and making sure everyone got what they wanted to have. This came highly recommended to us and we extend the same courtesy to others. Molto bene!!

My fiancé and I went to trattoria i fratellini for lunch on a Friday afternoon in Florence. The food was impeccable- we had the assortment of meats for appetizer, I had the tuna steak with vegetables and my fiancé had the pasta with sausage and truffle. Our host was amazing - not only was the service excellent, but he was able to get us tickets to the famous Calcio Storico finale!! Cannot recommend Nicolò enough!!! Trattoria i fratellini is a MUST in Florence!

This was not only the best meal I have had in Florence, but Italy as a whole. The food here is terrific and the florentine steak was unbelievable, and the wine is also great. The service was amazing and both the server and the chef were very inclusive of us with our 11 month old daughter, engaging with her and including her in our meal service and making us feel welcomed there. If I could give this 6 stars I would. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

My wife and I visited after reading other reviews and we were not disappointed. The owner hosted with a great sense of humour and guided us on the best cut of meat, showing you before cooking and making an experience of it. These guys know how to cook too, the steak was beautiful, served simply with salt and potatoes - nothing else needed. Highly recommend visiting here when in Florence to tick off your steak craving.

The food was out of this world (5*), it is a shame, but the service was only 1*.
We were rushed to order our dinner twice, after we had sat down and were deciding what to order, no one had brought us some bread until we reminded about it. The quality of oil and vinegar to accompany bread was very, very poor, even though the restaurant was not cheap. The wine in the wine list doesn’t correspond to what you are paying for ( a year on the wine list does not match what you’re getting on the table). One of the plates with food was chipped and glasses for water did not match with one another. No one offered us Parmesan for pasta until we asked for it. We had a bottle of wine and no one added us wine except ourselves during our dinner.
