Had a plate of antipasto, meat , cheese, olives. They served with a bit of honey. We were told the honey was for the cheese. I have not dipped a piece of cheese into honey before, it brought out a new flavor from the cheese. Nice stop for a snack for sit down or to go.

We booked a table and they confirmed. When we arrived they told us our table was not available. They had too many reservations! I tried to explain what reservation means but the guy seemed unfamiliar with the concept. Too bad.

I just had an insalatta di mare with wine, which were very good. But the guy who helped us (Danielle, I believe) was the best! He was so much fun and tried really hard to clarify our questions concerning the products.

As a light lunch with a friend we ordered crostini misti for 2. We were served 6 small pieces of toasted bread each with one small, thin slice of lardo, pancetta or melted cheese and some olives. Probably one of the worst crostini misti I have ever seen. We were charged €14 for this. I told the waiter that this... More

I was pleasently surprised by this little 'gastronomia' that I casually came across in the heart of Oltrarno district. I didn't expect anything special when I first entered this place, but it turned out that they have a great selection of traditional Italian cheeses and cold cuts of an excellent quality. I ordered a big "tagliere" (a large wooden board... More

Wonderfully fresh and the small dining room had a terrific Tuscan farmhouse vibe. The antipasto selection is a meal in itself. A great place to dine and stroll a few metres to Ponte Trinita to enjoy the setting sun or the night crowd.

We were looking for some small, lovely, authentic and not over-crowded restaurant to eat and Toscani is exactly this type of place. Nice atmosphere and good food. And the main thing that made our day was our waiter. He was very nice and always wiling to help! The best place we visited in Italy so far. And after lunch we... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
