I had been traveling for over a month throughout italy, some times with friends, some times with family, I had visited various regions and cities north south east and west in Italy and I made sure to take a photo of this gelataria because I wanted to 1. Write this review 2. Make sure to visit again in my lifetime... More

There are many good ice cream makers in Florence but in my opinion Mordilatte tucked away on Via del Servi beats them all. They stress the healthy and best ingredients that they use. Fresh milk and cream, fresh seasonal fruit, nuts from Piemonte, Pistachios from Sicily and so on. For people who cannot digest milk there are many fresh fruit... More

We tried a number of gelato spots during our stay in Florence two weeks ago. We discovered Mordilatte was not only the best(the Caramel is to die for), but it was also the closest to our Hotel Palazzo Niccolini. On the left of the fourth photo that shows the Duomo in the background, you can see the large wooden door... More

The gelato here is great. We made sure to stop by each day after passing the duomo once we found it. The kids couldn't get enough and the adults loved it too. Very friendly staff and great location too.

Got the pear and coconut ice cream, and it was so good I come back to buy more of those flavors. It was really good and the stuff was ultra friendly. Highly recommended

They serve just pure and amazing icecream! It was hard to choose a flavour, everything just looked so tasty. This in one of the best icecreams I've ever had and the best in Florence.

Only Italy italian icecream has. And this one was one ofvthe better cups I ever had. A bit expensive. But worth every Eurocent. Will for sure be back! A cup of coffee and it's all in. Can I have that next time?

I passed by the shop and thought it looked cute, so I went in to check the prices. I didn't find it to be any more expensive than other places I've been. I ordered a small cone with two flavors, vanilla marscapone and chestnut, and both were so creamy and delicious. I wish they had fruit flavors in stock at... More

We stopped by this gelato place after visiting the Academia. There was no line, the boyfriend liked the look of the place, and I thought the marketing was cute so we stopped. I had the chocolate hazelnut (it was rich and creamy and tasted like a mashed up Ferrero Rocher) and coconut (which didn't have as much coconut flavour as... More

While staying in Italy we visited several gelato places. We all felt, by far, this was the best gelato that we found while in Italy. The flavors were deep and rich. Our favorites were the dark chocolate, the cinnamon, and hazelnut with nutella. Before we left home all of our friends told us to have gelato every day - well... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
