I asked the walking tour guide why she had stopped at this particular gelateria in light of the hundreds of others in Florence. She said that it was because everything is made in the shop and it's family owned. She told me that the gelaterias that has mounds of gelato in the window cases were not authentic. This is because... Nice little find. A bit cheaper than the busy area in the center. Choose tub or cone. Can sit outside or sit by the Pitti Palace like we did.

One of the best ice cream makers in Florence Very delicious with natural ingredients. Don't leave Florence without passing by this gelateria

We recently had a gelato in Lucca and it was expensive and it had the tiniest scoop of gelato on the top of the cone. So here we were outside Palazzo Pitti surrounded by hundreds of tourists and we expected another tourist-trap. Boy were we surprised! We opted for the most basic of cones and one flavour of ice cream,... More

It is on a street off piazza de Pitti; knew about it through a tour of the city. In all cases, the taste is absolutely delicious. You will probably go back for seconds.

Service was poor and I was told I can't try more than 1 flavor. I tried pistachio and it was far too salty. My husband and I decided to get chocolate and were still disappointed. Texture was too icy and flavor was average at best.

One of the best ice creams I've ever had, I definitely recommend it! Followed by a short stop in front of the Pitti Palace, eating ice cream and watching the people passing by - a great day in Florence :)!

We were take here by our tour Florencetown. The gelato was delicious and it was handmade on the premises. It's a small little place but has quite a few flavors. I didn't like my cone which was terrible. I tried the mango and the peach and both are good.

Coming here again gave us more warm memories. What is not commonly known is the gelato here is home made on the premises and not outsourced. You won't be disappointed. Only shame is they don't have one like this in the central area. The prices here have also remained the same while elsewhere are tourist traps charging upwards of 15... More

Was walking past, looking for gelato and decided to give this one a try. Best decision! The Nutella, lemon and pitti flavours are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
