Wonderful restaurant. Menu on the night was fantastic and the gluten free bread and food was delicious. Return trip planned for our final night in Florence. Francesca and her mother were excellent hosts on our evening in their Hostaria. Tom from Ireland.

I was so impressed with this place that I ate there two nights in a row! Their gluten free menu is fabulous - not just gluten free entrees (and the gnocchi and risotto were fabulous), but also complimentary gluten free bread bowl and gluten free biscotti! Plus, complimentary soup and Prosecco, all for a really reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere. My... More

We have gone to this place for years, it was intimate, cozy, delicious, with excellent service and great wine by glass and bottle. This visit was disappointing beyond explanation. What stops us from putting terrible as the review is that it was average compared to other restaurants - however it was terrible in comparison to its previous self. Prosecco was... More

Goodmorning and thank you for your suggestion.....about another restaurant. I don't know why You spend your reply for us to advertise another restaurant! I hope can be regular. I'm sorry but we change our restaurant thanks to a very good value architect we loved his work. We don't change Prosecco and wine since many years so you drink the same... More

It was daring to go to Italy with gluten sensitivity but this restaurant had a very gluten free friendly menu! We arrived 20 minutes before opening and they just had us sit at a table until they could take our order upon opening. It was full at lunch and only heard Italian so must be popular with locals. Highly recommend

Nice place. There were not so many people on Friday evening. They offer a glass of prosseco as a compliment. Steak for 1 person we shared for 2 (700gr). Caprese is a bit strange, a new vision)

We dined in the middle of the week so the restaurant was very quiet. We enjoyed a very nice meal and had no issues with the service. We received a couple of complimentary items to try and we were very delighted. I highly suggest this restaurant if you are in florence for a few days. Do not be put off... More

Nice place to eat, in a quite street - not in the busy center. When we arrived we got a glass prosseco and a small appetizer for free and after dinner also some (glutenfree) cantuccine. Good food, also glutenfree. Friendly boss.

We are so happy we found this tucked away restaurant, which was buzzing with life at lunchtime today. We loved the lady who welcomed us in and assured us it was gluten free. We need not have worried: everything was ok on the menu. The spaghetti was delicious. The completo menu excellent value. Thoroughly recommend.

We stumbled upon il Desco by chance one night this September. I admit we picked the restaurant partly because of its lovely modern decor, but the menu didn't disappoint either! I didn't know that this restaurant catered to the gluten-intolerant, so it was wonderful to be offered the GI menu. We were treated to a sampling of the sparkling wine... More

In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries.
