This restaurant was recommended to me and although we had to wait for a later table, it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, welcoming, and the food was lovely. Altogether a lovely meal!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it's definitely not our last! The food was absolutely mouth-watering d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! A must order at this restaurant is the fresh fettuccine with orange and lemon zest, mint and parmigiano in a creamy brandy. I'm still dreaming...More

There were not so many people but still long to be served. Good burrata but not exceptional. The main courses pasta were great ,both imperatore and the ragù del babbo. Very improvable the desert.

Excellent food, personable and personal service. Lively atmosphere; eclectic artsy. Traditional Italian with a glare. No doubt everything is made to order, fresh, hot, flavorful. Best in Florence this trip.

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind
stalls with an array of products in one of the most
traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different
ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor
market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a
vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to
fall in love with this area and in particular, with
its variety of food, especially those focusing on

"La Cucina del Garga" arrived on the Florence restaurant scene when Chef Alessandro Gargani returned from an 8 year run as Executive Chef in New York City's famous "Mezzogiorno Restaurant" in SOHO. It is there that he practiced his craft, honed his recipes and started his family. From an early age, his parents Sharon Oddson and Giuliano Gargani AKA "Il Garga" had instilled in him their passion for food and art. In 2010, he returned to his hometown to continue the family tradition born at The Trattoria in Via del Moro and then brought here to Via San Zanobi.
The restaurant is an art gallery as well as showcase where talented local artists have the opportunity to show their work and customers can purchase paintings or sculptures to enrich their own private collections.
