We were recommended this restaurant by friends, and it was the good we kept coming back again and again. We broke our number one rule, as there was no one in the restaurant when we arrived, however it soon started to slowly fill. As one reviewer said, don't be afraid to be the only ones there. The menu was in... More

After stopping here for lunch we liked it so much we returned the next day for an evening meal even though it is quite a walk from the centre. Both meals were tasty and well cooked, the service was friendly and altogether it was a good experience. Would recommend if you like good quality simple meals.

Was looking forward to dining here, based on favorable reviews from tripadvisor. We were the first ones there for dinner, but we were the last to have our order taken. Other diner's were offered suggestions. We were simply asked for our order, no drinks, until I asked for drinks. We probably should have left when the other diners got their... More

So it's a weird title but it was a Thursday lunchtime and we were the only people in there. Still the service was friendly and the food was super tasty. Enjoyed the house wine the delicious meat and cheese platter and our traditional main courses. Definitely worth a visit even if it's empty on a late Thursday lunchtime.

We enjoyed a nice dinner at this restaurant. The food was "rustic" but I don't mean that in a deprecating way, rather that it was good honest fare. Decent salads and pasta and frequented largely by locals . Good service too. Don't touch the house white!

We arrived at this place for a late lunch and there was no one else in the restaurant. There was just an Italian guy and his wife (I think), who must have been the owners. They were very gracious to seat us and they explained that the food was cooked to order so it would take a few minutes. It... More

So this dinner happened because our friends from Melbourne wanted to relive the moment and dinner three years ago they had with their family. Well 😚- it was incredible. We have been travelling through Germany London France Spain and now Italy and this has to be a highlight. From the penne with porcini mushrooms to the gnocci to the beef... More

Unfortunately we may have tried this restaurant at the wrong time which may have skewed our rating slightly...after trying some great Italian food elsewhere in Florence, we tried this place on our last night but were left fairly disappointed. We went for the pesto gnocchi and pasta with pork cheek in a spicy tomato sauce. Whilst the sauce was tasty,... More

The rabbit dish stuffed with cheese, vegetable and some other things was great and pasta with meat sauce also tastes good. But they charge service fee for 5 euro.(little bit expensive)

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
