Me and my wife tried this restaurant very close to our hotel. The atmosphere in this restaurant is so tipical and the food is delicious. The lady (i think the owner) was so kind and professional.

We took cheese and pear + honey as a starter for two. It is a size able portion with different types of cheeses. Then the pigeon is to be avoided. It is a long cook and at the end very little meat, and is not so cheap. The tagliatta is quite generous, but certainly not the best we ever had,... More

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. Everything, the location, the service, the interior was lovely. The Florence Bistecca looked beautiful but, to be frank, when cut off the bone and served, it was fatty and not particularly tender or flavoursome. Because it was a speciality type meal, I accepted it for what it was. The steak alone was 66... More

This family run Tuscan restaurant had delicious traditional as well as innovative Tuscan cuisine. The woman who waited on us was delightfully funny and willing to guide us through the menu--always helpful. We started with an excellent pinot grigio--"Savaian" and continued with vegetable terraine and a salmon /avocado dish for antipasti.. My husband's fillet of beef with a wine sauce... More

On our final night in Florence we decided to search for a restaurant which offered typical Tuscan Food. We were delighted to find that the highly recommended Acquacotta was only 5 minutes walk from our hotel. It's not a place you come across by chance; very unassuming frontage, could be easily passed by. We were not disappointed with our choice.... More

Honestly we stumbled on Acquacotta - and what a pleasant surprise. Service was friendly and attentive. Clearly family run, the food was excellent. In fact, after years of risotto eating (and making) all over Italy, we complimented the chef for having produced one of the best risotto dishes we've ever had! Prices are moderate and the service is great.

After eating a lot of the touristy locations around the city, we wanted to try something more traditional and not so pushy, so I did some searching and found this place. I was not disappointed. It is a lovely little family run restaurant and we were greeted with a warm welcome and some very delicious home made bread. You could... More

It's off the beaten track, but Acquacotta is a little gem. Friendly and efficient staff who speak at least 3 languages. The food was delicious. Family run with Tuscan specialties. Everyone in our party was highly impressed.

Discovered this restaurant through a Trip Advisor search. Small and cozy, this restaurant offers a variety of homemade options. We had the seafood pasta, wild boar, and ravioli in truffle butter. All were delicious. Friendly and helpful wait staff rounded out an overall enjoyable evening.
