Feel like a local by having wine and small bites at that small wine shop/restaurant between the ponte vecchio and Pitti Palace.

Went here after reading about it on Trip Advisor. We wanted a light bite and glass or two of good wine. We were not disappointed as we chose the cheeses with honey etc and wine based on the recommendation of the staff. I am still impressed that they give you a taste of the wine to see if you are... While you are visiting the Uffizi or the Ponte Vecchio, continue across the river to this small, out-of-the-way gem. Highly recommend having a flight of wine for tasting along with several of their appetizers. Very local scene with fine selection of Italian wines you are not going to see in the USA. Ciro is very friendly and will suggest wines... More

We met Ciro on one of his Educational Wine Tastings at friends in Brighton. We fell in love with his unique character and enthusiasm for small & rare producers. So when surprised by a Firenze 60th Birthday trip we just had to find him and see him in action on his home soil. Flights of wines laid out with mouthwatering... More

A bit off the beaten track but close to Ponte Vecchio. We wanted a bottle of wine before dinner and were really pleased with the Pinot Gris served to us. We have found that the food and wine served in the main tourist areas is expensive and not great quality. It is worth some research to find these hidden gems.... More

My wife and I discovered Le Volpi e L'Uva, tucked away, just beyond the Ponte Vecchio, a few years back and although we don't get to Florence that often, through the years, we make sure to swing by for a great glass of vine, amazing antipasti and friendly service. Its not necessarily a place I would go for dinner, simply... More

We had a great lunch here on a hot summer day. They have a great selection of crostini and panini made from delicious, fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They have a good selection of wines, as well as ales that are regionally brewed. Would recommend!

We ate twice here at lunchtime, with a few good glasses of wine. Loved it. The first time, I was given the wrong item, so it was changed without issue. I returned the next time, and I was greated with great laughter and 'no fish today'. I was given anchovies incorrectly. Simple but excellent fare in a friendly atmosphere. And... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
