1st day in Firenze and, of course, we had to taste the famous Tuscany wines. Le Volpi e L’Uva has proven a great place to get an introduction to the wines through a degustation. The friendly owners, the different wine labels and the pairing salumi...More

This is a great place to sample wines. Also good for snacks and cold cuts. Many wines are available for tasting and great service at the bar. A very enjoyable experience, and reasonably priced.

Since dinner is generally later in Italy than in the United States, I found myself needing a late afternoon snack and this was the perfect spot! Try the Crostone with Sausage/Truffles and a cheese plate for a great snack. It's also slightly away from the...More

We went here because of the excellent reviews and we had the trout with spicy sallad, the toasted bread with tapenade, pate and tomato dip, and the third dish was a salami and cheese platter. All three dishes were edible, and a couple of the...More

The waitress was really nice and attentive. I asked for recommendations for wine and then a cheese and meat plate to go with that wine and it was great. It's a very popular place (for a good reason) so I would get there early.

You'd walk by and not find this place if you weren't careful. That would be ok with us, but a mistake for you. Best selection of cheeses/app's we found in Florence at any price point. Maybe 4 or 5 tables outside in small piazza, another...More

Until today, I would have said no, but I am almost positive that I saw a tray with six bottles of beer on it being delivered to a table. It looked like beer from northern Italy or German region. I will ask next time I go.

If you are able to reserve, it is probably worth it. It does get quite busy. We were quite lucky in that we got the last two stools at the 'bar' area inside. But on both occasions we visited, there were no tables outside... More
