Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tiny but wonderful delicious food! Was proud of myself for ordering everything in Italian. A very busy restaurant but I still had time to enjoy my lunch and not feel rushed!

We stumbled upon this tiny and cozy place looking for a lunch spot that had soup. Their minestrone was just what we had in mind! Food was delicious. It was very homey inside and the amount of locals that were there let me know it...would be good. Three ladies there making it run like a well oiled machine. It was busy when we arrived, but moved quickly. Buonissimo!More

Tiny place. Squashed into tight uncomfortable stools, with shoulder against the wall. And the wall, with ledge for olive oil bottle, was dusty! Greasy sticky table mats (non disposable and not the kind you can wash in washing machine). Food ok, nothing fantastic or so...traditionally Tuscan (I'm from Florence) but the musty smell of damp, the dusty walls and the disgusting table mats just kept making my stomach almost heave! Couldn't wait to get up and leave... Oh, my husband risked going to the toilet (I just knew it would be better to avoid it) and hurried out with a disgusted look on his face. I didn't dare ask what the toilet was like, it was obvious from his face. And people were queing to go among the tables (no space) and the door to the wc opened up into the dining room/hole. Never again!More

Visited as a couple. Managed to get straight in around lunchtime, but it quickly became very busy for an hour or so. The food was excellent (we had paninis, wine and beer) and portion sizes about right. For the location, it was also brilliant value...(€18.50 for two paninis, large wine and beer, and mineral water). The atmosphere was also great - it felt very authentic, and there was a very distinct buzz about the place. Only minor gripe was that the service was a little slow for us, though others seemed to get speedier service so may have been bad luck. Overall, thoroughly recommended!More

We've been a few times and have to had to queue for a bit to get into the restaurant but it always well worth it. We love the delicious freshly prepared pasta dishes. The cramped tables are part of the experience and it's been lovely...to chat to other diners. Friendly staff and the house Chianti is very good and amazing value. Menu changes regularly so plenty of different dishes to try.More

We ducked into this restaurant on a whim and I'm glad we did. The sandwiches were excellent - I had prosciutto, pecorino, and truffle - so delicious! My boyfriend had tuna (that excellent canned Italian tuna) with fresh mayonnaise. I don't usually get excited about...sandwiches and I have had some good ones (I've been to the famed Zingerman's more than a few times), but these were memorable and a great value.More

I was extremely excited to score a table here for lunch, as I had read so many glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and in Lonely Planet. Though it was a sweet place with plenty to choose from on the menu, I wasn't really impressed by any...of the dishes we tried. We had 2 different pasta dishes as well as the white bean crostini. Maybe it was just an off day?More

We found this little hidden gem of a restaurant by accident. Busy at lunch but we were able to find a table after 2 pm. Great menu of freshly prepared food on the premises by 2 women who take an interest in their patrons. Homemade,...fresh pasta. Loved the sandwich and house wine. My wife had a salad. We will go back again.More

This tiny osteria is a hidden gem. It’s a little hard to find but well worth the effort. It’s owned by a group of women who cook authentic local dishes. Service is friendly and efficient and food comes quickly. I had risotto with Gorgonzola, pear...and nuts - amazing! Hubby had crab farfalle - also amazing. With a beer and a glass of vino Rosso it was approx 20 euros. The food is delicious!More

We gave this place a go as it was recommended in our guide book as a traditional trattoria. Safe to say it did not disappoint! We had to wait a little while for a table as it is not the largest restaurant and was very...busy (good sign!) but it was totally worth the wait. It's got a big menu from salads and crepes to pasta and risotto so something for everyone. I am vegetarian and felt I had a lot of options. We chose the smoked cheese and grilled vegetable bruschetta and the bean and truffle cream bruschetta to start. The latter was amazing & a must try. For main course I had the porcini mushroom tagliatelle which was very simple but delicious and the flavour of the mushrooms really shone. My boyfriend had the crab farfalle which he said was the best pasta he'd ever had. We shared the home made tiramisu and, unsurprisingly, that was delicious, too. Even with wine (a glass for 2 euros!) the whole meal only came to about 32 euros. A great value, authentic Tuscan meal!More
