Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've been a few times and have to had to queue for a bit to get into the restaurant but it always well worth it. We love the delicious freshly prepared pasta dishes. The cramped tables are part of the experience and it's been lovely...to chat to other diners. Friendly staff and the house Chianti is very good and amazing value. Menu changes regularly so plenty of different dishes to try.More

We ducked into this restaurant on a whim and I'm glad we did. The sandwiches were excellent - I had prosciutto, pecorino, and truffle - so delicious! My boyfriend had tuna (that excellent canned Italian tuna) with fresh mayonnaise. I don't usually get excited about...sandwiches and I have had some good ones (I've been to the famed Zingerman's more than a few times), but these were memorable and a great value.More

I was extremely excited to score a table here for lunch, as I had read so many glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and in Lonely Planet. Though it was a sweet place with plenty to choose from on the menu, I wasn't really impressed by any...of the dishes we tried. We had 2 different pasta dishes as well as the white bean crostini. Maybe it was just an off day?More

We found this little hidden gem of a restaurant by accident. Busy at lunch but we were able to find a table after 2 pm. Great menu of freshly prepared food on the premises by 2 women who take an interest in their patrons. Homemade,...fresh pasta. Loved the sandwich and house wine. My wife had a salad. We will go back again.More

This tiny osteria is a hidden gem. It’s a little hard to find but well worth the effort. It’s owned by a group of women who cook authentic local dishes. Service is friendly and efficient and food comes quickly. I had risotto with Gorgonzola, pear...and nuts - amazing! Hubby had crab farfalle - also amazing. With a beer and a glass of vino Rosso it was approx 20 euros. The food is delicious!More

We gave this place a go as it was recommended in our guide book as a traditional trattoria. Safe to say it did not disappoint! We had to wait a little while for a table as it is not the largest restaurant and was very...busy (good sign!) but it was totally worth the wait. It's got a big menu from salads and crepes to pasta and risotto so something for everyone. I am vegetarian and felt I had a lot of options. We chose the smoked cheese and grilled vegetable bruschetta and the bean and truffle cream bruschetta to start. The latter was amazing & a must try. For main course I had the porcini mushroom tagliatelle which was very simple but delicious and the flavour of the mushrooms really shone. My boyfriend had the crab farfalle which he said was the best pasta he'd ever had. We shared the home made tiramisu and, unsurprisingly, that was delicious, too. Even with wine (a glass for 2 euros!) the whole meal only came to about 32 euros. A great value, authentic Tuscan meal!More

We have been going here for about a decade on annual visits, popping in for lunch. They are very patient with tourists tho the majority of diners are locals. It’s basic but superb and a real institution. Try the tripa! The tiramisu is wonderfully light...and fresh.More

Food was delicious! We got pasta with pecorino cheese, gnudi (gnocchi) with butter and sage and coccoli with raw ham and pecorino cheese. Portions were huge and we only paid 12€ each including wine and coffee. The place is small and opening hours are a...bit weird (do not trust TripAdvisor) but you’ll get a truly traditional Tuscan-style restaurant with great, super cheap food. Highly recommended!More

Arrived in Florence from the train station. Good reviews on TripAdvisor. Finally made it to this restaurant. They closed at 4pm. Turn us away and said they were closed removing the menu by the door. It wasn’t even 3:30pm yet. Disappointing to say the least...as we navigated the streets of Florence to find this place:(More

6 of us wandered in for lunch and even though it was crowded with (mostly local) customers, we were seated within 5 minutes. Staff was very friendly and patient with our limited Italian. We ordered pici with wild boar, cheesy spaghetti (this was the English...translation), spinach, and.... the best part of the meal: WARM ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. The desserts were the main draw for us, as I’d previously read about them. The ricotta cheesecake was very special and you should 100% try it if you go! The tiramisu was really good too but I haven’t really had bad tiramisu yet, so if you have to choose one dessert (which you shouldn’t have to if you’re on vacation!!) you should get the cheesecake. The other standout for us was the pici with wild boar. Pici is a type of fat spaghetti and was perfectly al dente. The wild boar is a speciality of this region. Together, it was perfection. Everything was very affordable too!More

A friend of mine pointed me towards this place and I was not disappointed. A national newspaper article described it's rustic charm and no nonsense good food menu run by several energetic ladies. The place is close to many tourist traps but this place is...worth finding. My seafood risotto was divine and a steal at 8 euros. Make an effort to find!More
