We had a lovely evening with some amazing food and great service. We were looked after from start to finish, even with the restaurant very busy, the table wasn't quite ready. The staff organised some complimentary prosecco whilst we waited and were really attentive. The Steak Fiorentina was divine, pricey but unbelievably lovely and the wine the waiter recommended was something else. A great evening - Thank You!

My partner and I visited Il Granaio last Friday, and were fantastically surprised by this amazing little restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, like being in a family dining room, and all of the staff were brilliant, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly from the beginning. The food was fresh and well cooked, and the waiters were enthusiastic in their recommendations. We had such an amazing time, a special congratulations to our waiter Gianluca, who took the night from good to great. He was charming and warm, yet efficient and knowledgeable, and helped set the atmosphere and family party vibe for the whole evening. A truly memorable meal, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal and night out. Superb!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a no-fuss, cozy dinner for our last night in Florence and came across il Granaio. We ordered the Ribollita to start and of course a Florentine Steak and the house Chianti. All were absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and we appreciated that the Staff took their time explaining the different types of steak to us so we made the right choice. We also loved the ambience which rounded out the whole experience. We will for sure come back on our next trip to Florence!

I would like to point out that, despite the long advance booking, we had not been booked upon our arrival, resulting in a long wait.
So there was already little customer care there.
Furthermore, fascinated by the positive reviews left by various tourists, we let ourselves be tempted by the Chianina Fiorentina with baked potatoes.
After more than 30 minutes of waiting (with few people seated) we were served a Florentine steak with poor quality potatoes! The reasons?! The meat was super sinewy and the chips were frozen. All this was exposed to the waiter who didn't think about proposing a decent alternative, much less increasing the price when it came time to get the bill. So the quality-price ratio was also terrible!
In conclusion, bad experience!! I don't recommend it!!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is what initially brought us to this place with all the plant’s, photos and quaintness. But the experience inside was more then what we could imagine. Our waiters were so attentive, and went above and beyond their jobs. They recommended the tagliolini di beatrice con fonduta. Let me tell you… if you want your taste buds to go on a trip outside of this universe and never come back…. Get this dish. The pasta was made in house and the sauce was out of this world. It was the best pasta I’ve ever had in Italy and in my life. This place won’t disappoint you. 😊

The restaurant has its charm and it is located in the heart of Florence, which makes it special and historic. The service was excellent, the waiters were caring and incredibly thoughtful of our desires.
The food was impeccable! We took different dishes - ravioli, risotto, and tagliatelle - all of it was mouthwatering! You must try their steak, it is so delicious and it melts in the mouth. ;)
I have been to many restaurants in Italy and so far this has been one of my best experiences. I truly recommend this restaurant - it has a great ambiance, offers only fresh food and I would definitely return there! :)

After a whole morning of museum, I walked into this restaurant around 15h30. Completely random without any online research, turns out it became a good surprise. The food is delicate with love, the service is perfect and the ambiance is relaxing and chill. It was the last meal of my trip and it made my day. Will definitely come again in July when I’m back in Florence.

We came in for a glass of wine on Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed the quaint and peaceful atmosphere as well as the great service from Daniel, that we decided to make a reservation for Sunday dinner.
We started with Chardonnay (refreshing and light) with the prosciutto and Burrata appetizer (with lots of shaved truffle). It was probably a half pound atleast of prosciutto. Then we switched to a Chianti Classico and my husband and I had the Gnocchi with tomato and burrata. And the Tagliatelle with duck ragout with truffle. Both incredible. Fresh, well prepared, flavorful and filling! They gave us limoncello after our meal too! Highly recommend you come here when in Florence.

Visited on a recommendation, never been before. Well worth the visit. High quality, superior food, very nicely presented. Well appointed restaurant, nice ambience. But OMG, THE WINE - to die for! We had wanted a particular Chianti, which the restaurant does not do, but our waiter (an earnest and attentive young man) recommended an alternative (Antinori), which was like liquid gold. That alone made the visit! Well worth visiting Il Granaio, for a pleasant evening, in nice surroundings, good food - and wine! Thanks to everyone there for an enjoyable evening.

Try steak Florentine here. Our server, Luca, picked out the perfect piece of meat for our family and it was cooked to perfection. Fantastic food,wine,atmosphere and service. Luca and every other employee we talked to were welcoming and friendly. Make a reservation and enjoy!

We really loved this place!! We stumbled upon it with our knowing much about it and so glad we did. Our waiter, Luca was fantastic! Best service I’ve had in a really long time! He was so pleasant and kind in helping us navigate. We chose based on all his recommendations and went out on a limb for us and it did not disappoint. My husband and I like to share meals to experience more and they platted the pasta in two which I really appreciated! The braised lamb pasta was so unique and tasty. Really unlike anything I’ve had. But the show stopper for me was the cheese and truffle filet. It had the most wonderful flavor (I am always nervous of truffle because I hate it when I’m pregnant and most times trying it I’ve been pregnant). Not pregnant now and I loved it, the truffle flavor wasn’t strong so if you’re nervous too, just go for it! It had berries and these amazing pink peppercorns. We got the potatoes in the side and dipped every bite in the cheese fondue sauce. We love fine dining and this experience did not disappoint. Not to mention we felt the price was great for the quality and experience. Oh and I can’t forget about the bruschetta! This was our first meal in Italy so keep in mind, but best bruschetta I’ve ever had.

Fantastic place. We had the Fiorentina and he Rossini steak, and we loved it. We had a 9 months old with us and the staff were superlative, made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to make our dinner special. A big thank you especially to Gianluca for being a fantastic help and host. The restaurant is lovely, we loved the setup and design

We had a reservation at Il Granaio but were shocked when they offered us an outdoor table despite the freezing temperatures. What's worse, there were two available tables for two inside, but the staff refused to accommodate our group of three.
The waiter showed no empathy or willingness to help, seemingly unconcerned with our discomfort. No alternative solutions were offered, and we were left feeling unwelcome. Luckily, we found a place in the pizzeria just accross the street and had an excellent dinner there. Extremely disappointing experience!

What a delightful place for a romantic dinner. My partner and I enjoyed flavorful bruschetta, perfectly cooked steak, and lovely gnocchi. Plating was superlative. Excellent wine list, very reasonable prices for high quality. Also, the staff was attentive, answered questions and provided good insight, and were clearly passionate about their food. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Florence.

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was just amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere was very nice and cosy, with an upscale flair. The staff was very polite and friendly and gave us great advice on portions, dishes and wine. The menu covered both traditional favourites and modern interpretations of Tuscan cuisine, definitely allowing something for all. Really enjoyed the full experience and would definitely come again to try other dishes on the menu - everything sounded delish!
