Service is extremely Bad. Food was ok.. the pizza was very bad for an Italian Restaurant. The Italian visitors get the attention they deserve. Tourists from foreighn countries aren't getting the attention the need. I left with my wife and children within 40 minutes. They...didn't even asked why we left al the food on the table. I could go on complaining. Please go somewhere else to spend a good time with your family or friends.More

We asked our nearby four star hotel for a casual dinner recommendation and they made a reservation for us at Hysteria La Tufa. Don't be dissuaded by the lack of curb appeal. With half of the lights in their sign burned out, this looks like...a dive bar from the street but walk inside and WOW. Anytime of year it would be a great place for a casual meal, but in the warmer months when you can sit on the patio - just wow. Service was excellent and there are plenty of selections on the menu. All four of us enjoyed our meals and we share a tiramisu at the end. One of our local tour guides says that Hosteria La Tufa is known for the best pizza in the area.More

Waiter very knowledgable about gluten free. Restaurant recommended by local Italian for gluten free food. Gluten free pizza best we’ve ever tasted. Authentic Italian restaurant (mostly locals rather than tourists). 2-3 gluten free dessert options. Amazing views (and sunset) over the valley. No adverse health...affects after eating here. Would recommend ++++++ (whether needing gluten free food or not!)More

We found this place by sheer chance on our last night in Cortona. We were trying to find a nice place and we succeeded by far! The front is deceiving because it’s rather plain from the front but inside there is a large terrace where...you can watch the sun go down. Four of us ate and drank wine, coffees, shots, deserts and the bill was only €88! Everyone enjoyed their dishes; We shared a kilo t bone, fries and roasted veg. Luchia had her ‘new’ found favourite of spinach and ricotta ravioli in a creamy tomato sauce tangy sauce. Dad had a huge plate of lamb chops Followed by a bottle of wine, shorts, 5 coffees, 4 deserts and a very attentive service! We also had the pleasure of meeting #itsmissavacado and some beautiful Wolves chicks 🐣😘❤️ Thank youMore

Nice little restaurant with a cosy fireplace and game on the menu. The food is okay, pizza's are nice and thin and the prices are fair. For a simple night out it is fine and they have pizza's by the metre; a fun challenge. Beware...of friday nights when they have karaoke parties, can be an unpleasant surprise if you don't expect it..More

My now husband and I, plus our families have enjoyed dining at La Tufa for years so when we came to decided where to hold our wedding reception in Tuscany, it was an easy choice. Chiara and Emanuela went above and beyond for us, to...make sure everything was perfect. I was truly surprised by how it all looked. The food was chosen from the menu and it did not disappoint and after 5 courses, there was not a hungry person in the building. I can’t thank Chiara and Emanuela enough for their hospitality and for making our special day that little bit more magical. Grazie mille, è stato incredibile!More

We were with a group of 10 people. We were 1 hour late for our reservation. We took a chance that we could still be seated. The owners had no problem, they were very accommodating. We went in, they moved tables around and sat us...right down. The food was fabulous, the atmosphere was perfect for a group of 10 friends wanting good food and good atmosphere without a huge bill. This was the second time I was at La Tufa, the first was 10 years ago and the experience was still what I remembered.More

Pizza and pasta are nice but service is really terrible. Taking the order is already too much work. After starters you are waiting a long time. It also seems that local people get better service. Much better restaurants in Cortona.

A casual dinner with a stunning countryside view. Prices were moderate and the selection of courses was extensive.
