We've booked yesterday for have Pici for saturday lunch and today we have a great lunch with pici. The chef owner soon kneaded pasta mixed vasentino flour named 'verna flour' and wine served with fresh cacio cheese and pecorino. Awesome! And after a good tagliata on the grid. Lastly, an excellent green apple ice cream. Recommended.

My wife & I were looking forward to this restaurant, as it'd had mostly good reviews. We visited on Sat. lunchtime (busy) to book for the following evening. The proprietor said he'd squeeze us in for 7.00pm Sun., but we'd be outside. We arrived Sun. pm and - after being shown to our table (on a wooden platform on the... More

We ate supper here on Apr. 1, 2017. We were lucky to be able to get in on short notice (made our reservation about an hour in advance). I believe that normally you need to make reservations earlier, because it is very popular. We had the "Michelin menu" which included anti-pasta, primi, secondi, and desert. We asked for our meat... Sorry, but at age 59 I find it patronizing to have some strange man pinch my cheek and call me blondie. At the time I let it go, but in retrospect wish I had said something. He was overbearing to the wait staff and several of the customers as well. Food was good, so just "heads up" on him if... More

Went there for lunch. Was a little concerned that it would be too touristy, and yes, it was popular with tourists but unlike many, the restaurant has kept to quality Tuscan food. Excellent service, food and very good wine list.

Locally raised beef and locally grown vegetables skillfully prepared, beautifully plated and served with a locally produced wine. The meal was amazing (see pictures). Don't skip the homemade pasta made with local flour, white wine and no eggs! I asked the owner what I should order from his menu. He pointed to the 60 day aged tartar and said, "Order... More

One week later and I'm still speechless about this amazing place! Here we go... Made same day reservations for 7:30. Walked in and was graciously greeted by everyone that saw us, including a gentleman that resembled an owner. Sipped on a bottle of amazing brunello. Food was outstanding. Here's some details... Handmade pasta and boar sauce was cooked to perfection... More

We went to this restaurant twice during our 5 days stay near Cortona. All dishes were very good, great wine and ambience. It's a small place and very popular with tourists, so reservations are highly recommended.

We ate here on our last night in Italy. We selected the pre-fixed dinner, which was 4 courses, all excellent, at a great price of 29€ pp. Its on a steep slope off the main piazza but worth it.
