Very welcoming, excellent English, had GF options, food was excellent especially the langoustines with spicy tomato sauce on linguine. We had read many mixed reviews for here but honestly it was a lovely meal, excellent service, price was fine, we would definitely return.

If you want great seafood....this is the place. My spouse doesn't like seafood...this is still the place! Pasta con le sarde, linguine with clam sauce, pasta con ricci, mussels, are just a few of the dishes I've tried over several visits. All were delicious! My spouse has ordered pasta with porcini and pasta bolognese...equally delicious! We've always asked for local... More

Had lunch at this restaurant. It was great and the fish was delicious. We also had a nice chat with the owner. For fish lovers this is a must

We visited this place for lunch. We were greeted by the owner outside who persuaded us to come for lunch. Not knowing what to order we let him decide. The mussels were very good. The fish we ordered was shared between us and was very fresh . It was 60 euro for the fish only , 6 euros per kg... More

Can't fault the chef who provided tasty plates of freshly cooked fish. But the service felt rushed, even though the restaurant was quiet, and the bill was pricey compared to other places. Still, this is Taormina...

Our visit was during the middle of March before the crowds. This ristorante was on the path from our hotel, so we passed it frequently. Whenever it was open,I saw lively conversation and friendly people both on the terrace and inside. When we lingered to inspect the fresh fish display, a waiter greeted us and spent time describing each item. During... More

Seriously my wife and I just finished our fifth week of traveling in Italy..... and this was probably our best meal... my wife had sea bass that was cooked to perfection and I had a white clam pasta dish that was outstanding..... the waiter was great .... when we didn't particularly like the house red he suggested an inexpensive bottle... Sadly this was one of the most expensive meal in Sicily, but food wasn't the best we've tried. 12 euros single plate buffet consist of veg only, that's far too expensive. We were recommended dish of the day, 33 euros for a whole fish - we expected fireworks for the price, but instead it was regular piece of fish. Food... More

If you want good fresh fish, done simply and well, and presented beautifully, this is the place. We cannot compare La Grotta with the other, no doubt also excellent fine fish restaurants in Taormina, as this is the only one we ate at - but we can say that we did well eating here. You choose the fish, they grill... More

We had at least two great and memorable dinners here, great food and wine and wonderful warm service from all staff.
