My wife and I came here with our baby and both had the same tuna, pistachio, tomato among other ingredients pasta dish. The only difference being that my pasta was gluten free. We were very impressed by our meal, the service and old worldly decor. it was like being in some ones house for lunch. we would happily come here... More

I guess TA is all about personal taste - all I can say is that this suited ours! I had the pasta with shrimps and tomato - referred to as tasteless in an earlier review - and all I can say is that I disagree. They were fresh tomatoes, just chopped rather than halved as seems to be the norm... More

This restaurant was superb. It's on a little out-of-the-way street but definitely worth hunting for if you're in Siracusa. We didn't know at the time we ate there that it has a Michelin star, but there was nothing high-brow and expensive about this place---just supremely wonderful food served by the friendly owner and his wait staff. Our favorites were the... More

Al Mazari a Michelin star restaurant? You must be kidding me. The steak my wife ordered was overcooked. It was difficult enough making ourselves understood in English but when we told the brash owner who took our order he had not asked how we'd like the meat done, he retorted that we should have told him. Huh? The waiter doesn't... More

I am in love with this restaurant! Unfortunately we spent just one night in Ortigia otherwise I would have gone there everynight! The highlight is the cous cous with fish with is just divine, never tried such a explosion of tastes in a cous cous! Wine is great especially the one the family produces. The staff is very charming, wleocming... More

We tend to avoid places with the Michelin stickers as they are probably too expensive and snooty, but this place was affordable and most of the staff were friendly and professional (the older, presumably owner, was a bit odd). And the food was exquisite.

We went here last minute as our first 2 choices were fully booked. It's on a quiet street and had quite a few patrons so we thought we'd try it. Although the food was ok ( fine not great) we found the head waiter to be totally disingenuous and somewhat deceptive. We had asked for a half liter of house... More

The best thing on the menu is simplicity combined with very high quality. Portions are generous without excessive. Pricing is reasonable: two mains with a bottle of water came at 30 euros. I'd recommend.
