Highly recommended, excellent fresh fish, pasta with fish ragù and delicious hand made "cassatelle al forno" for desert. Great selection of wines and if you eat outside you have a breathtaking view of the Cathedral!

Amazing food. Angela and Sergio are incredible chefs and great hosts! For sure we wl be back next time we visit Palermo. I'm still dreaming crostini con i ricci! Bravi ragazzi! Complimenti! Vi aspettiamo a New York in settembre!

My favorite part of the meal was the swordfish, but everything I ate was delicious. It seems like it's a family run restaurant, which I like very much. The food was fantastic (pasta with clams, pasta with sea urchin, stuffed calamari, and the swordfish), the service was excellent, and the wine was good. I highly recommend this restaurant. My only... Well, the best grilled octopus I have ever tasted anyway. The flavours of the sea melting in your mouth with crispy little suckers. Heaven. My partners stuffed squid was also subtle and delicious. This is a super friendly family restaurant cooking traditional food to a high standard. I had a half bottle of very simple fresh white wine but there... More

Angela and Sergio welcomed us into their restaurant with such a warm and gracious feeling. We were attended to by staff with such warmth and friendliness and we were treated like part of their extended family. And now the food, we have eaten at Ristorantino de Spano twice during our stay in Palermo and could easily go back each of... More

This place was recommended to us by our local friend. Well, it's not easy to find but it's a real diamond ;) Super service ( they didn't had seafood risotto in menu, but they made it for me) , food is just unforgettable. Real taste of southern Italy . It was my bday, so I even have had congrats from... More

We went as a group of ten and the service was prompt and friendly. The food was a good entrée into what Palermo cuisine offers. Nothing that could be described as amazing but plenty of it and fresh. The wine list is good, great prices for local wines. Its in a pretty grotty part of town but we didn't feel... More

In a bit more of a run down area of town, this place offers simple but very descent local food. The stuffed squid is excellent and so is the pasta vongole. Wines are local and very reasonably priced. Recommended!

We had a dinner there as the place was recommended to us by a local person. But the food was very average, served very quickly which means it had beef ready before we came. Plus the bill higher 10 euro than the prices in menu... Somehow disappointing...

The place is tucked away in the vicinity of Cappo market and very close to Palermo Cathedral. The staff is always ready to welcome you with typical Italian hospitality. There are two sitting areas, indoors and outdoors. The indoors have comfy chairs and elegantly set tables. However, in addition to great location and service, what impresses the most is the... More

Sergio and Angela Spano run the restaurant since 2004. Both come from families of restaurateurs who have passed on their passion and love for the traditional cuisine of Palermo, the same passion that today move in their work, seeking the scents and flavors of the past and selecting all the raw materials with care. Caponata, Sardinian warbler, daisies ca n'ciova, squid ink pasta with sea urchins, fresh fish of the Mediterranean, they explode like a vortex of fragrances giving you a blast from the past.
