I took my wife and kids to have some typical Sicilian lunch at the Focacceria. When we arrived the place was packed, full of tourists and not many tables available but we didn't have to wait long for one. We bought a small selection of Sicilian food to try and we enjoyed the food, I'm from Palermo but my wife... More

We called by on a damp Monday evening in February, and thoroughly enjoyed the informal atmosphere and authentic presentation of Sicilian Street food. State of the art aranchine but beef rolls not brilliant. Puddings good too and everything reasonably priced. Probably quite crowded in high season.

This is the original location for a restaurant that now has spots in many of Italy's largest cities. I always come away from eating at their restaurants feeling like I somehow uncovered a hidden gem that only locals would know about, which obviously isn't the case. I wouldn't say the food is particularly healthy - lots of fried things -... More

Felt this place really had nice range of food for all comers. Price range was good for the amount of food you got. Also saw lots of things on the a vast menu that looked good and never had before. The Swordfish Meatballs were delicious. Local cheese dish with balsamic vinegar was great. Had a nice selection of wine and... More

The place was busy as it has featured in more than one UK tv show recently. Inside the shop it is brilliant, but the dining area across the street serves food which is sort of OK, but you might do better to find somewhere that provides more personal service. The experience was quite like eating in the middle of a... More

Hello, I went there during my holidays with brother and we went to the restaurant at each lunch and dinner. Even if this one was looking great (they have a good brand to attract people), the restaurant was not good. First, I was surprised to see that waiters were dilletante and not so much concerned to bring a good level... More

We opted for the meal option rather than street food. We had very good traditional Palermo food which was interesting and slightly eastern in taste. The Cassata was delicious. Wine was very tasty and also good value for money. The ambience and decor were great. A very enjoyable evening.

Crowdy, Bustourists, Schoolclasses on holiday. Unfriendly service. This is not the place to be in Palermo, despite the fact, it has been a gastronomical "hotspot" in the past,

We came to the Focacceria twice during our stay in Palermo and both times for lunch. The first time was prime time and it was a long que to get to the register to pay for our Focaccia di Palermo (did I say get this?). That being said, the place is always hopping so take that into account. Folks were... More
