The Restaurant is simply over rated. Our experience it has started with a first rude interaction with the person which takes Booking . Once arrived at the place we found a very cheap furniture . The service was the worst part as we had kids...and they made them wait for almost 1 hr just to cook a simple plate of gnocchetti sardi ! Vergognatevi! The rest of the plates were missing body of the flavours . To give a real example on how much bad the service it was , just immagine when a table requested for an additional bottle of water and the waitress completely forgot ! In our entire experience with great Sardinian restaurants with Superb Plates , we have found definitely the worst . This is a REAL Review ! FYI.More

What an interesting restaurant. We went here, unplanned, on a midweek lunchtime, right at the close of the tourist season. Service was personal, unhurried, and generous with descriptions of ingredients and cooking techniques. The amuse-bouche were an introduction to the style of cooking and presentation...which we were about to witness; interesting to the eye as well as tempting in the mouth. I especially liked the delicate, light-as-a-feather cheese-ball. Our starter was small pieces of beautifully tender squid served with delicate leaves, artistically set out on the plate. Five different breads were served, with variety of colour as important as variety of taste and texture. Our main dishes - four bowls of pasta - were delicious, with the pasta perfectly cooked 'al dente', full of interesting flavours. The most interesting combination saw a zucchine and buffalo mozzarella sauce generously sprinkled with finely grated beetroot powder - a brilliant visual combination of mid-green with vibrant red. But - nothing like leaving your best surprise to last - the real highlight came as an accompaniment to the espresso at the end of the meal (a choice of coffees were offered, each carefully described). Small little meringues, flavoured with rose water and, I think, more beetroot powder; delicious. But better still, and truly memorable, a tiny cube of white chocolate, with a whole caper, crunchy but still slightly moist, inside. That combination of flavours was as surprising as it was a stroke of genius. If you like interesting tastes, stylishly presented, this restaurant is more than well worth a significant detour. You won't be disappointed.More

Giuseppe created a really inventive vegetarian tasting menu for our meal. We had phoned in advance. Flavours varied and dishes were well balanced. The ambiance of the bright room was warm and service impeccable. We had such a great evening and I would recommend anyone...to hop in a taxi and just go (after having made a booking) to experience the hospitality of Giuseppe and Rosella for themselves.More

Without doubt one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. It was perfection from start to finish. The restaurant is a couple of kms out of town so parking is easy. The surroundings are very stylish yet relaxing and unpretentious. Rosella is the...perfect host and her husband Guiseppe is a master chef. We chose the meat based taster menu which consists of four mains and two desserts. Without spoiling it for anyone else, you will also be served three extra mini dishes which are fantasic so in reality this is a 9 course taster menu for just 55 euros. Every single course was spectacular and for many of them Rosella took time to explain the indredients, how the food was prepared and where they were sourced from. The beer is expensive but so good. We had a lovealy chat with Rosella at the end of the meal. Restaurants like this deserve all the success they get.More

This was a spur of the moment decision for my husband and me. We read the reviews and decided to try to get a table the same evening. We were lucky to choose this restaurant. We picked the meat tasting menu and were not disappointed....Every part of the dinner was superb, from the amuse bouche to the desert. Highlights include the parmesan ball, the perfect local olive oil, the quail and the chocolate tart. How the chef conjures up this food from the ingredients is amazing. This restaurant's food and service is excellent.More

Run by an exquisite couple, this establishment delivered in all aspects. Food was superb, wine and produce mostly locally sourced with incredible service. Could not recommend more. Best regards and luck for the future, Laura and Kelly

We ate here on Saturday night & it was the BEST meal we've had after 7 weeks in France (including Corsica) & Sardinia, possibly ever. The food was delicious - perfectly cooked & wonderfully presented. We ordered the chickpea flour pizza with mixed vegetables for...entree, the 30 hour pork belly & the rabbit wrapped in bacon for our main courses & for desserts the chocolate passion & burnt cream dishes. Wow! SO good. Service was stellar too - friendly & efficient. There's such a high level of care & attention paid to every aspect of this restaurant - the food, the ambience, even the toilet - the whole experience - that it's obvious that it's provided by 2 very passionate people. Go there! It's worth visiting Olbia just to eat here.More

Wow, what can I say. We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose here after reading the fabulous reviews, boy we were not disappointed, we took a 30 minute walk from the city centre, easy to find. We had made a reservation...a month in advance, booking is recommended. We were greeted warmly and offered a choice of tables which is always a good sign. The ladies are treated to a beautiful wine box to sit your handbag, a lovely unusual touch we thought. The staff talked us through the menu and although we had not reserved the tasting menu (recommended to reserve in advance) the chef was kind to accommodate us so we both chose the tasting menu and was offered a perfect bottle of red to match. All produce is local and fresh and lots of thought and effort goes into the preparation and food served. We are lucky to dine out regular and lots of fine dining but this menu had the wow factor. We enjoyed flavors we had not seen paired before. The food was exquisite and we could not recommended highly enough. We were lucky to have a nice conversation with the chef and thank him for a wonderful gastromonic meal. The staff were excellent, very informative and passionate and pleased to say run with passion by a lovely couple. The attention to detail was clear, the way various sugars were served with coffee for example. We were so pleased we found this restaurant and booked, you will not be disappointed and we wish the owners every success for the future and hope we visit Olbia again to return. Thank you for special memories made for our anniversary.More

It was hard to know what to expect when reading reviews online and checking out their website - with it's either very bad or very good graphic design (it's all in the eye of the beholder, no?) - but I'm glad we took a chance...and walked 30min outside the tourist center to eat at this place. Hands down the best food experience we had during our stay in Olbia. The staff were neither especially warm or cold, but everything was charmingly presented, and most importantly - almost everything tasted both good and was clearly thought through. Though it may sounds like a negative, it really was the imperfections and the small quirks that really endeared this place to us. They are earnestly trying to do something that most people here don't even care to attempt. The food is modern, creatively put together, yet still based on local traditions. It's a special combination that deserves a visit in a town of tourist traps and ubiquitous sad side salads. Recommend especially the scallop starter and the pasta with sheep and saffron. Delicious!More
