I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions over the years in these difficult times I find it hard to believe they actually excelled in service and quality of food I will visited on my next trip to Sardinia
If you are looking for a perfect location in Alghero to eat I highly recommend MIRADOR. The food was five star quality and the staff were very kind and professional. Amazing view too.
Definitely worth a visit!
We ate here on our recent holiday to Sardinia. I went to the restaurant at lunchtime and in a mixture of my very limited Italian and the waiter's limited English, managed to book a table and explain that it was our wedding anniversary.
On arrival...that evening, we each got a glass of prosecco. Slight panic from my husband that it might be expensive, but it was on the house, which was a lovely touch - thank you.
We both enjoyed our meal very much - I had the octopus followed by fritto misto. We shared a side dish of grilled vegetables which were lovely. The starters in particular were beautifully presented.
We knew it wasn't going to be cheap being bang on the waterfront, but it was a special occasion, so we didn't mind and we had a lovely evening.More
I just had the €16 lunch; two courses and a drink. The first course of Sardinian seafood starter was odd; fish that looked like cod but was so tough and hard that i couldn't cut it and so left it, the other fish may have...been shredded squid as i couldn't decipher it. The main dish of pasta in tomato sauce with sausage was seriously lacking in sausage. The wine was drinkable and with coffee i paid €19
What a waste of a magnificent location overlooking the sea. Food was uninspiring but the service was good. I usually shy away from these prime tourist locations but let my guard down. Nonetheless, they won't suffer as they will always get customers because of the location.More
Truly awful food.Pre cooked lamb reheated but remaining cold on the inside served on fridge cold mashed potato with cold pickled veg.Couldn't eat mine but husband who eats anything, did ,so made it hard to complain.French lady on next table returned her meal.I should have done...so too but did complain when asked if everything was OK.
The wine saved the day,Sella e Mosca red. Also met lovely people on adjacent tables.More
My partner and I had dinner at the Mirador very recently. The fish was very fresh and everything we tried was really nice, especially the frittura mista and spaghetti with lobster. This restaurant is very busy and service is not the best. However you can...expect to eat very fresh and tasty fish.More
We ate in this restaurant on our first day in Alghero . It was by far the worst meal we had on our holiday , overpriced and tasteless . We started with some fritto misto which consisted of couple of prawns , some not very...tasty small fish and calimari which was previously frozen and very rubbery . The mains were even worse , pasta dishes were either too salty or tasted of nothing . Please stay away from this place , it’s just a tourist trap with no care for service or food . The only thing thru have going for them is location , and this is why , unfortunately , we chosen to eat here in the first place .More
There's a beautiful view from the restaurant and even during season there weren't that many people during dinner. We ordered pizza (which was delicious) and I recommend mixed meats from the grill, which also include sardinian specialty - a horse.
Wasn't my first choice given the average ratings on tripadvisor and google, but got a pleasant surprise; all starters and food were really fresh and well prepared, even the kids menu gets a sophisticated touch that turns some very simple food into something delightful.
The...location is gorgeous as well.More
