Beautiful location, nice people and delicious ice cream. Gelateria Gentile is most certainly worth a visit and even a detour.

Honestly I'll turn into an ice cream one day. Nice and smart establishment, opposite the castle and the oricetto street so you can watch them make your pasta while you slurp your ice cream, sounds like a classy day out with a northern lass... Tasty...and tangy flavours, what's not to like.More

Just amazing icecream. Hard to choose between all the delicious flavours, but I have to recommend the pistachio (and the white chocolate…. And the nocciola…. And the… and the…). One visit is not enough :-). Also, they have coffee-to-go - the cappucino is excellent.

this wonderful place has been in business since 1880 and all of the flavors are just wonderful. Just what I needed on my visit to Bari. Who knew they have a gelateria in NYC too!

This place is across the street from the castle and has been serving gelato since 1880. Probably the best I have had in Italy the price is reasonable and the quality excellent. If you want gelato in Bari this is the place.

Every ice cream lover's dream is fulfilled in this ice cream store just opposite the entrance to the Castel Svevo in the old quarter of Bari. We loved it so much that we returned several times during our stay in Bari. On the outside they...have a board which indicates which flavors they have made for that day. Get two different flavors that marry well, and you will be highly satisfied. I tried the cherry and the chocolate one night, and it was perfect. However, they don't make every flavor every day, but instead rotate the flavors according to the season and what's available. One of the things I really liked is that half of the flavors are available in a lactose free version. Go, you won't be disappointed.More

If you're in Bari you 100% need to go here immediately and get yourself a gelato and a cremolata and experience pure bliss because that's where you'll find it. You can taste the real ingredients that they use to make their desserts. SO GOOD. We...literally spent the rest of our vacation in Italy trying to find gelato that was just as good but were unable to so you know, I guess we're going back to Bari.More

Location excellent, prices are normal. Gluten free ice creams. Surprise: they have gluten free ice cream cones available! Absolutely appreciated the way they respected the gluten intolerance in every steps of the service. However kindness would be a basic thing to improve in.
