Amazing to eat in this beautiful square on a wonderful summer day. Our lunch was delicious - a salad for my husband and pasta for me - but what marred it was the service: definitely of the 'the tourists can wait till we are ready' school of waiters. Pretty graceless and unsmiling throughout, crowned by having to ask twice for... More

I was intrigued to see this sign on the exterior of the restaurant, as the restaurant is also listed in the Michelin guide. In my very limited Italian I explained that only I would be eating and my wife would just be having a drink. There was no problem and her plate & cutlery was immediately cleared. The staff were... In an incredible location (San Zeno square) you can try Verona tradirional cuisine, with some creative invention. I had a very good seafood meal, but I didn't try the legendary "carrello dei bolliti", a choice of bolied meat and offals with different sauces, served by a careful lady pushing a trolley. The staff was very kind and readyto help and... More

Can't forget the taste: increasingly tasty... the aroma is engaging, the flavors new and terrific. This restaurant is the perfect location for a novice (in northern Italian Bollito) to be initiated. The waiters are friendly and accommodating. The wine selection superb. The food just delicious. Sit outside and watch the old trees of the Piazza San Zeno. Wondrous!

What can we say...what looked like a regular restaurant on a terrace (next to San Zeno church) proved to be a four star service lunch. Even the house wine was great. But most spectacular was the boiled meat cart (i can't and won't name them all...but there was tongue, i'm sure). A close second was the dessert cart. Service was... More

Had a great meal here when staying one night nearby in Verona. Very busy large authentic restaurant with not many tourists. Food was good and great value. Service was friendly too, our young waiter spoke excellent English. Would definitely recommend.

Food was tasty, but had to ask for everything, brought the wrong meal, overcharged an extra meal on the bill. Also charged for the bread and crostini placed on the table. Other tables had to ask for glasses and another group left while waiting for their meal after a very long wait.

Just next to the San Zeno church is this wonderful restaurant. The owners run it since 27 years. Pictures inside show them with Italian stars. But the restaurants has kept a simple traditional atmosphere. The food is excellent and service professional. We enjoyed the teraace for a lovely lunch celebrating a birthday (prosecco was offered on the house). Variety of... More

Looking for a BOLLITO with salsa PEARA'? This was one of the best restaurant for this traditional menu. FORGET! The meat is not tasty, the cotechino is just a dad pork looking like a cotechino, the lingua is not well cooked, I mean with erbes on buillon to give the right flavour, and finally the real secret the PEARA'. No... More
