Stopped in the Osteria while wandering the streets of Verona and despite the cheesy name we were treated to a reasonably priced and tasty lunch menu. Some exciting local delicacies such as donkey pasta and horse tartar make the experience authentic and interesting! Definitely recommended!

We tried Lumache (slugs) for first time. Tasty! Horse meat stew was succulent and tender. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make this place a MUST.

Came here for Valentines Day and wanted to try typical regional dishes. wow the pasta with duck sauce was exceptional and then the "pastissada di cavallo" which was tender horse meat with polenta.... hmm yumm. Finished it off with an amazing tiramisù. Would highly recommend it, it's also right in the center of Verona, close to all the attractions yet... More

We tried 2 restaurants recommended by our hotel but they were full and came here. We sat up stairs with 2 tables of 6 and another of 4. Waited nearly 15 mins for food order to be taken and only because manager? Owner? Noticed we still hadn't been served. For me it was too bright and lacking in atmosphere which... More

Very authentic experience. Good dishes and nice value for price. The pasta with duck sauce was one of the best i had for long time. Don't miss out!

We took shelter from the rain after consulting the oracle that is trip advisor ( and also asking a waiter for somewhere with traditional local food). Just behind the piazza and market area this fab restaurant was packed. We came right at the end of serving (2.30) but managed to squeeze us in. The set menu was brilliant value for... More

This is a no nonsense, popular with the locals, casual restaurant . The food was absolutely delicious. Comfort food, local to the region, at a decent cost of 18 euro each for two courses. The wine offered was quality. Glad we found it, and would return.

I always try to find places that are not overrun with tourists. This place was perfect. It was quiet, easy to find, and the food was perfect. It was a menu fisso and was around 20 euro per adult. My husband enjoyed the donkey and I loved the eggplant parmigiana.

We had a lovely meal even if the portions were large! The pasta which is often a first course was lovely and the salads generous even by my standards! The menu is wide though I must admit we are not too used to seeing horse/donkey on the menu! The plate of ham etc was huge and for many, a meal... More
