I can't believe it's even legal to charge 10 euros for "music supplement" without even telling customers about it. I asked the waiter about the supplement, which was on top of the exorbitant price for an ice cream and a glass of water, and he...showed notice on the bottom of the menu (which we hadn't even looked at) in tiny writing. I told the waiter I thought he should draw the customers' attention to this at which point he became extremely unpleasant. How greedy these people are! And what a horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.More

Yes, the cafe is expensive, but I found it to be well worth it. The service was excellent, the venue beautiful, the music lovely, and the hot chocolate delicious. Visiting this historic cafe was one of the highlights of my Venice trip because of the...lovely ambience. While it is incredibly expensive, you’re paying mostly for the experience, and to me it was worth it.More

Not only € 10.50 for a Cappuccino, no they want to have 5 Euros extra; because they had musicians playing and the tax on top

What can I say? Florian is Florian. The standard for Venician tea houses. Old school service, wonderful atmosphere. We became regulars years ago.

Probably the best spot in Venice with nice live music. Prices are very high even for such spot. The service was OK. Quality of sweets and icecream was below averae.

I didn't expect a perfect experience, but just wanted to enjoy the beautiful 18th century of this (in)famous café. We left after spending 20 minutes trying to get a waiter's attention, feeling frustrated and disappointed. Don't waste your time (or money) there, pop over to...Dorsoduro or another similar less touristy part of Venice for a more genuine Venetian experience you will remember fondly for years. Cafe Florian is a total waste of time, unless you're a masochist.More

I don’t think this place is anything special, it’s really just for the experience. Got 2 cold coffee and a tiramisu, the staff was not even that friendly. Honestly I don’t recommend this place.

Gorgeous bar with a nice atmosphere and polite staff. The prices are not for the lighthearted, but you can expect that of Venice. The position is great being in St Marks Square and the music is not too loud.

I don’t mind paying the extra for a nice tourist location, but the surprise „music fee“ of 5 Euro per person was a bit irritating. Yes, it is there in fine print at the bottom of the menu. Also, rude staff.

We went there for experience and we got it, unfortunately not the good one. As a couple just for seating down we were charge 10 euro. We ordered cold coffee and tiramisu. The size for coffee was super small and the prices super big. Either...coffee or tiramisu not worth the prices which they are charging. Very disappointedMore

It’s not exactly an orchestra - rather a selection of musicians... they play throughout the day until closing time - the website will have information on opening times for winter.
