Brilliant, favourite local bar with excellent snacks - you may well have to stand as few seats but great atmosphere and friendly, super efficient bar staff.

At the recommendation of the American expat ticket seller for the Vivaldi concert (excellent evening activity BTW) we had our only full on-4 course-extravaganza dinner here. It was perfect fresh seafood that you picked from a cart raw.

Small, comfortable place with great food. Had the caprese salad and the lasagne. The cherry tomatoes on the salad were sweet, delightful, and refreshing. The lasagna was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent and the staff attentive. Wonderful find on our first...More

Came back for a visit this summer as I was here last year with my husband. This time I had the Tuna Tartare and it was to die for!! So delicious. Keep in mind I do like sushi - so raw doesn't bother me. High...More

Branzino was delicious perfectly cooked and seasoned. Pasta is so good. I can't go back to eating boxed dry pasta. Reasonable but not cheap

The best in Veneza of its kind! Go for a quick lunch and be prepared to eat standing (very few places to sit) but worth it every moment. You choose what you want to eat from a nice selection on display including a lot of...More

Delicious food in this small bustling restaurant . Has a small menu and none of the usual "Italian" dishes seen at most places. But every dish we had was fantastic. The pastas were fresh with unique flavors. The beef and potatoes my daughter had was...More

We stopped by here for a quick lunch and weren't disappointed. If you want to try the real cichetti experience without the mad crowds this is a good place to try. I recommend the polpette and vegetables - although if you just point to what...More

Step inside to grab a selection of cichetti, small serves of local Venetian specialities, to snack on with a glass of prosecco or beer. Smart efficient service from the lady ensured a repeat visit. A really great experience of local food without the pretentious price....More

Description
You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.
