Third time here. Everytime I come, it's been packed with people out the door. The wait is much longer than they say it's going to be, but at least they give an hors d'oeuvre while you wait. The food, both pastas and seafood, are quite...More

The two of us had lunch, both pastas - the ravioli and bigoli - very tasty. Boisterous but friendly lunch crowd. Great, friendly and bustling service. Small, hard to find space, but loved dining with the gondola captains... We felt like locals!

Fun place with a busy atmosphere. Food good, service amazing. Popular place so we had to queue but you get a nibble while you wait. If you're happy to sit close to other tables and wait to be seated, then a good place to go....More

This restaurant is located along side of a small bridge and is tough to find. Nonetheless, it's very popular as it was full the night we went. The food is typically of the area. As is the custom, when you order fish, it is brought...More

It's definitely a popular haunt in Venice and the food is definitely homemade. I ordered the tagliatelle and the venetian schnitzel. Total bill came to €29. Being a solo traveler I was placed on the end of table and the service that I received was...More

It's rare to find a gem like this that offers you tasty and delicious food made like home food. Had the best prawns ever homestyle with some onions and fish lasagna with the best seafood. The service was A1 friendly and happy waiters from Ivano.

We just finished a great home cooked dinner in this very typical trattoria. The food is great and according to an Italian friend really Venetian. Prices are reasonable (for Venice) and atmosphere very friendly. The frittura mista was great! I can only recommend it!

No hardship to queue for a table as you will be given a drink and a nibble. Stick to what you want to eat from the menu, sometimes the waiter wants to order for you. The sparkling wine comes at 6euros for half litre jug...More

A small hard to find place just a few yards from St. Mark's but, find it! Food was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly; entertaining at times. Prices were way below the rest of Venice. Wine recommendation was superb, for 30 euros a bottle! Our...More

This is a small and somewhat hard to find restaurant, but was very close to our hotel and recommended by the staff. It was a really good recommendation. Even though it's only a few blocks from St. Mark's, there are few tourists here, the restaurant...More

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated
within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over
one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals

Yes it does, but beware that when we were there a table that had a reservation could not get their table at the requested time as the restaurant was full. It's very busy.
