Stopped here for a spritz aperol and a beer which cost 10 euros, a good price. We had paid 12 euros elsewhere the day before. Service was friendly, wifi is available and they gave us a free small bowl of chips which was a nice touch with our drinks. Although it may not be the prettiest or most atmospheric place... More

Lots of pastries and some more substantial dishes, this little shop has more seating than typical for its size and is easy to pop into for a snack and a drink.

We needed some espresso and a place to sit and get a rest from the crowds. Very nice small place, friendly. Only locals besides us (mid-morning). Can't say anything about the food, but would have definitely tried it if we had been hungry. Thought they deserve a mention.

Great food, great service. The fruit bowl was lovely. The coffee is hot and tasty. This seems to be a popular place with the locals which says a lot.

The place is rather difficult to find for a regular passing by tourist. We searched for a good cafeteria and we were not disappointed. The place is a small climatic bar and the quality of drink is outstanding. The opening hours are somewhat strange :)

Stopped in here for a few post dinner drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the aperol spritz were good and reasonably priced - we ended up having 8! Good local bar. Would recommend

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
