Staffs are friendly and foods are nice. Seafood pasta has a lot of fresh ingredients including prawns and mussels with great tomato sauces. Definitely recommend and would like to visit here again to try other dishes.

We were impressed to find somewhere like this amid all the tourist trap places! The food is really flavoursome and delicious. Great for a late lunch too as they still served us! Definitely recommend. Fantastic limoncello

The cuisine here was absolutely exquisite. The wait staff rolled out the red carpet as soon I walked through the corridor. I would recommend this eatery to any serf I pass by. Thank you Trattoria Alla Ferrata for showing me what it means to truly love again.

We went here based on the trip advisor reviews and we're so disappointed. We were the only people in the restaurant at about 5 o'clock. Our waiter Abdullah was lovely and so great. However the food was aweful. My boyfriends pizza was Soggy and flavorless. While I had a cheese gnocchi which was okay and a steak that was unedible.... More

Came here with my husband after reading good reviews. I got the seafood pasta and he got the scallop pasta, both were good and at a reasonable price. Very attentive service as well. We each got a small shot of limoncello, as other reviewers had mentioned. Waiter had asked where we heard about the restaurant. Seemed like a bit of... More

Food and service were ok. As the reviews on trip advisor were very good, we were expecting more. Gnocchi was good.

My husband & I were looking for a well rated, reasonably priced, sit down meal--a near impossible feat, I recognize-& this seemed like the perfect answer. We ordered gnocchi, steak & vegetables. Service was fine. Gnocchi was very good, in spite of the small portion. We were really underwhelmed with the rest of dinner. When we didn't order coffee after... More

After a somewhat dodgy meal on New Year's Eve I checked on TripAdvisor for a restaurant for this evening. I'm glad we did! Bottle of rose and a three course meal for 2 for 75 euros. Food was lovely, service great, very impressed!!

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
