It looked pleasant and the garden setting sounded good, but all downhill from there. The water bushes would blare their horns right beside you every two minutes. Menu was pricey even for Venice, but what came out was even more disappointing. The food tasted okay...More

Maybe it was because the waiter who originally seated us went off service a few minutes later and it was between lunch and dinner but service wasn't up to much. Setting very good, foo ( except for the dreadful bread) was pretty good but service...More

Myself and my boyfriend spotted the restaurant on our first day, so decided we would treat ourselves to a trip there on our last night. The garden restaurant did not disappoint, with a lovely atmosphere and views of the river through the vines. As we...More

Looked OK from the outside and was pleased to be seated in the garden. That's all the good points. Three of us ordered one starter and three main courses. Asked three waiters and the manager where our food was after an hour, a shrug of...More

So, first night in Venice with no preconceptions...just hungry and wanting local fare...stumbled upon this place and found the ambiance quite friendly with english speaking staff and good explanations of menu when needed....not very large portions especially Lasagne and no vegetables with a meat main...More

Very close to our hotel and next to the Guglie Bridge so we dropped in at this attractive looking establishment - big mistake and the one time we were ripped off as tourist conveyor belt victims. The place is cramped and at least one couple...More

Despite being on the main drag, fresh pasta, friendly service and a really good ambience. Only negative, too much salt in the pasta. No doubt intended to boost drinks sales, but neither necessary nor recommended. At the end of our first course our waiter enquired,...More

Got stung here for 12% service charge only place in Venice to do this.As each person finished, their plate was whipped away.Couldn't feed us fast enough and get us out - didn't need this.Far better experiences away from the crowds in Cannaregio.

We went into this place because it was on our way back to our hotel. It was also half empty and available. Alarm bells should have rung. My husband ordered lemon escalope. It arrived. Exactly that. We saw nothing on the menu to suggest we...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
