The menu of the day was very delicious and we liked a lot the guy who served us, a young man very friendly, Aiket is his name. He did a great job.

The main purpose of the man at the door is to get you inside. We were ready for dinner so we decided to give this a try. Very disappointing. The portions would not have satiated the appetite of a 6 year old. It was a very average tourist restaurant that had but one purpose, get plenty in and get em... More

Not very impressed. Both pasta dishes lacked flavour and had clearly come from a packet, found a hair in the ravioli; and bruschetta had a piece of dirty tissue on the top. Service was friendly, but considering we have eaten in other restaurants for the same reasonable price and had absolutely amazing quality food -- this one is definitely one... More

Little Jew very close to the Rialto bridge. We found it by accident in our first day and it was absolutely perfect! Hubby had pizza and I went for pasta, but to be honest everything was delicious! Prices were slightly less than around St. Marco square and also as it wasn't on the Main Street it was nice and quiet!... More

Very informal , this was where we ate on our first evening in Venice and where we got the shock of the added cost of a cover charge per person of 2euros50 and so every time we went somewhere to eat we had an extra 5 euros to pay! We ordered a spaghetti carbonara and a pizza and both arrived... More

We visited this ristorante for a quick evening meal. It was busy wich was a good sighn. We had the fish menu of the day seafood spaghetti and sea bass fillet with grilled veg, both were very tasty. It was followed by espresso coffee all for €18, you cant grumble at that. Food is not posh but could be described... More

Food came out really quickly, good portion sizes and prices. Drink choice was good too. There's a 2.50 Euro service charge per person but it was stated in the menu so not a surprise like some places.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
