This little trattoria is next to San Marco square. Because of this, it's overpriced. But the service is quick and effective and the food decent. We had ravioli and a 4 seasons pizza. Good overall but nothing exciting.

A polite hawker standing outside enticed a second look at the menu, and this was well priced for Venice. Sat an enjoyed some local fare, not bad, not fine dining, but very good value.

We had pizza diavola and spaghetti bolognese, with spritz to drink. Food was reasonably priced, good but not great. We were in between museums at st marks square and the waiters were fast and friendly.

The best caprese in Venice! We ate here several times during our stay and the food was delicious, the staff were so accomodating and when we returned they remembered us and gave us free champagne!

The seafood pasta fresca was delicious and their cafe ginseng changed my perception on coffee. I started drinking coffee after dining here. The atmosphere was excellent and we seemed to be the only tourists there. Can't wait to go back!

We wandered into this small restaurant and we're delighted with the results. The fixed price meat menu was a bargain and it gave me a chance to taste the delicious lasagna bolognese with bechemal sauce. Wow! The entree I chose was the chicken fillet with lemon and a salad. The soft bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar went... More

Do not recommend this restaurant, food was below average and a total tourist trap, very close to St. Mark's Square. Seats and table was very uncomfortable

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
