It took us a while to find it as we find the streets in Venice a bit difficult to navigate. Great food and service (we had reservations) The grappa offered by the restaurant at the end of the meal at no charge was a lovely...More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it was lovely. Plenty of locals eat there so that is definitely a sign of how good it is. Good is you like fish and meat, although great vegetarian options too.

he server spilled wine all over my daughter. I know things happen, but it's at these times when you see the true side of a person/service/restaurant. The server only offered emergency wine spray but wasn't apologetic at all despite my daughter was in tears getting...More

Beautiful location for stunning Italian food. I had the smoked cheese ravioli which was delicious with a glass of red. Save some room for the dessert!

This restaurant is recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, and although it's a bit out of the way, is well worth the 15 mins walk from Rialto. It's set alongside the canal and we sat outside in the square on a stunning day in a...More

After visiting the impressive church Madonna dell’Orto and Tinoretto's house near Campo dei Mori you should avoid a visit in the Osteria L'Orto dei Mori. We sat quite a while outside watching the waiter and the chef ignoring us. When he finally arrived at the...More

Average tasted and rapidly served food. Unhappy and non-talkative waitress. Misplaced and ambiance killer beverage seller kiosk right next to the tables outside. Considering the quality of food and the service, they have a long way to go before they become a fine dining restaurant..

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who visit Venice frequently and it lived up to expectations. Quite popular with locals which is a good sign and gets pretty busy do recommend booking. Excellent fish and good value relative to typical Venetian prices.

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

We had the concierge at the hotel make the reservation. Day before. Not uncommon that's there's room w/o reservation, but sometimes there's a bit of a wait.
