Came here in the evening after being recommended by my SO, had a set menu for €15.50 and it was delicious! I had the spaghetti Bolognese, grilled beef steak with the polenta. It was one of those places that doesn't go all out to tout and try to earn your business yet it was money well spent! Do visit this... More

We were there in late time, some menu items could not serviced. The restaurant has around 12-13 tables, space is small to spend more time in it. But taste of dishes acceptable and service is ok. Prices are consistently with service and level of tastes and also menu alternatives. They have good wine alternatives which are cheap. It can be... More

As many of the other reviews suggest, there are too many 'touristy' restaurants in Venice always with someone outside keen to get your business. This restaurant is quite the opposite. Unassuming, it is a fairly basic but classic dining room which is buzzing in the evening. The guys who run this place are friendly and the food (grilled calamari and... More

There are to many tourist restaurants in Venice. This is not one. The meals are excellent and a good value. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. I recommend any of the pasta dishes.

Great food and authentic "local" atmosphere, really allows you to forget you're 300 meters from the over-touristic center of the Venice. Kids really loved the food too.

We had a great meal here and enjoyed again a taste of Venice. This is located along a long row of shops. We actually saw the Trip Advisor sign and stopped. Glad we did.

We had dinner here and decided to have the seafood set menu for 35 euros per person. It was 3 courses, everything was tasty and we thought it was good value. We tried the half litre of red house wine which was fine. We arrived early without a booking which was okay,it got busier as we finished.

High quality food with good size portions. Both the atmosphere and the food were authentic Italian, away from the touristy cliches of which Venice is full of. The service was very friendly. Overall a great experience.

Great food at a surprisingly modest price in Venice. Real restaurant food and service. Plenty of choices for carnivores and vegetarians. Bottles of wine were reasonably priced. We went at ~8pm on a Friday night and had no problem getting a table.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
