Arrived here at 8.15 which for venetians is a bit late! Nevertheless , we had a good chicken pizza and a really lovely seafood pasta. A fabulous salad with loads of carrots, tomatoes, lettuce. They were even happy to serve us Americano coffees rather than expressos! Just to add we got horribly lost on way back to our hotel!

A very nice restaurant. Very nice food and prices. Warm service. A very good choice as you walk around in Venice.

Worst pizza I had in life. Worst restaurant me and my wife went to in Venice. Expensive. Service was ok, but the food was dreadful. The pizzas looked like cardboard covered with cheap cheese without any flavour. All the pizzas seemed to have the same base and and a very small amount of cheese and tomato sauce. They then sprinkle... More

Standard italian restaurant. Menu offer is wide. I ordered tagliatelle with crab and my girlfriend gnocchi with zucchini. She liked hers but I didnt like mine a lot. Prices are OK. It has a nice terrace and service is fast. It has no Wi-Fi.

We chose this very quickly restaurant after coming out of San Polo church and being very hungry. The food was excellent. My wife said the salad she had was the best she had had on our holiday, and my ravioli was delicious, healthy and filling.

My girlfriend and I visited Al Campanile for lunch. She requested a gluten-free pizza without cheese, which the waiter understood clearly. After a long wait, my girlfriend was served a pizza with cheese. She politely reminded the waitress that she is intolerant of lactose, to which the waitress responded courteously. After a second wait, my girlfriend was served a pizza... More

Great food and wine. All freshly prepared. The friendliest service we had during our few days in Venice. Highly recommended.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
