We arrived late into Venice and were worried about finding somewhere to eat. Noemi was recommended by a porter at our hotel. We were exhausted and asked the waiter for a recommendation that would be suitable for a coeliac. His recommendation of fresh seabass roasted with vegetables and potatoes was delicious but very expensive. (Approx. 90 euros in total including... More

Do not go there! Attractive prices, but charges 7€ for a peroni, 5€ for service and 3€ per caffè... You end up paying 25-30€ pp for frozen food...

We ate there just once. The food was good but disappointing. Indeed, it came very quickly after our order and was clearly reheated and not prepared after our order. However the staff was nice and a limoncelo is offered at the end of the meal.

We selected this place to eat on our first evening, the staff did not interact with the diners except the Maitre 'D; A loud individual shouting at people as they walked past and persuading them to enter and sit down, erecting more and more tables. My wife's meal; Grilled salmon was not fully cooked tepid and swimming in a thin... More

We saw the restaurant at lunch time and it looked good so went back for dinner, the fish was so over cooked and dry , we both chose not to eat out our food so paid for our gnocchi starter and half of our bottle of wine and left!

Good food but expensive. The service was reasonable and brought dirty cutlery. But the food was really good.

Great entertainment and really nice desserts. I loved the staff and they really did make a difference. We were recommended this place by our hotel (Cavaletto) and generally the recommends worked well. I would say the food was good although not great up to dessert but ambiance and entertainment created by the great waiters made all the difference and in... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
