We found this restaurant by chance and had a great 3 course dinner. We were so please we went back again 2 nights later. There are many many restaurants in Venice so to go back to one during a 4 night stay shows how happy we were.

The waiter at this restaurant was very friendly, joyful and welcoming! The restaurant offer the "Tourist Menu" from which you can choose a main plate, second plate, appetizer and desert, but we preferred to choose items from the menu. And we didn't regret it! Everything was well presented and really tasty. However, we ordered some extra parmigiano to eat with... More

Had dinner there last night. Food was a bit disappointing, under seasoned and not very warm. Pretty location but wouldn't go again.

This restaurant was near our hotel, so we walked to it one evening and we were pleased with the menu, so we took a seat. The table we choose was outside along a canal, with was a great location. The food was very good, including a delicious dessert.

A la carte & set "Tourist Menu" to choose from. Good service, tasty food & friendly staff. 3 course meal for 17 or 21 euro.

Actually a lovely meal and good value and very good service. Having been recommend to another the night before that cost over 4x as much, this was much better food and much much better value. Good setting with inside and outside seating.

Really enjoyed the setting and the food was lovely, but just thought it was a little pricey for what it was Similarly prices to some Lagoon front venues Other than that really Enjoyed the experience The waiter was attentive but not intrusive, the seafood was fresh, the wine (if a little limited in choice) was nice too Worth a try

We truly enjoyed the canal-side dinner with wine and conversation with other guests on a slightly chilly evening. We did drink a bit of wine, and we were served three or four courses of well prepared food. Great Appetizers (see pictures) and wonderful fish. I think the fish was Branzino and VERY fresh and delicious. The topper was the table-side... More

Visited this afternoon for a quick drink and bite to eat. Menu limited and not inspiring. Staff not rude but not polite either, more interested in getting us sat down and served asap. When the menu is flung on the table, I guess you know what you are in for. Typical tourist trap. I had bruschetta, which was ok. Wife... More

While wandering through Venice we stopped for an early meal. Atmosphere, good food, canal traffic, people walking - all that Venice should be. If we return to Venice we will go out of our way to return here.

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
