Away form the usual places, behind Academia, nice small osteria which serves excellent seafood. small, friendly but excellent; deserve a visit as it is visited essentially by Italian public. Better make a reservation.

Ssh, don't tell anyone about this gem! Authentic restaurant rather than touristy, tastes very home made. Lots of seafoods, although menu only (at time of writing) in Italian, so took me a little while to order. I'm thinking of going back to Venice just to...More

Came with a group of 7. We split two pastas and a giant platter of mixed grill fish that was amazing. Very good octopus, tuna, and grilled fish.

A bottle of Merlot always goes well with food in Venice and this is no exception. The service is a bit old fashioned and not hasty. You need time to enjoy your meal here and it is worth having all 4 courses on offer so...More

Menu explained to us in English, thank you. Seafood options, not typical tourist menu. Most dishes were for 2 people, but worked well for us. Shrimp and spaghetti with artichokes was fantastic. Coffee and tiramisu were a fabulous finish. Menu changes often.

Aggressively hostile service, only one table in the place for two people - otherwise sharing at VERY close quarters. All fine if cheap and cheerful, but although VERY cheap ambience, not at all cheap in price. My husband and I had a main course each,...More

A small restaurant with frequently changing menu according to availability of fish. You might need to sit close to others a smallish interior but had a lovely couple next to us. Small selection of mainly fish antipasto, pasta dishes are for 2 persons, then a...More

Stopped by unreserved for an early lunch (place filled up a bit later), and we were treated very well by the multi-lingual, efficient yet humorous woman who was much more than a waitress. Had excellent dish of spaghetti vongole, and my wife's distaste for all...More

We heard good things about this place, but were very disappointed overall.! Service was rude, made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Our table was in a cramped back room- even though we had booked two weeks in advance. Wouldn't go back there or recommend it...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
