Lovely place in the Rialto Market area, delicious small sandwiches with salame, ham, Tuna and Kren (my favorite), fish and great wines. Meat balls, Aubergine balls and other amenities with nice music on. No seats, apart a bench. This makes it great for a quick...More

We loved our wine and snacks. All were delicious, and the atmosphere was great. We wanted to go back the day after but time disappeared! Definitely recommend a visit.

We were probably not the first tourists to stumble upon this tiny tavern on a narrow street in Venice, but if you are the next, please stop in for the entertaining wait staff, excellent drinks and gourmet snacks and seafood! The exhuberantly professional staff makes...More

Best Bacaro we visited in Venice (and we visited quite a few!). This tiny place doesn't have tables (just a bench outside and a couple of barrels used as surface where to leave your glass) but it is a must if you want an authentic...More

we had very tasty home-made sandwiches at Al Merca. You get your sandwiches and drinks and stand at one of the tables provided. Great opportunity to meet new people and have a chat.

Nice wine selection and petite sandwiches. All priced to sell. This is a great stop for an inexpensive snack. The wine selection is vast, and immediate. The sandwiches are displayed up front behind glass. You pick your wine, then your sandwich and find a place...More

As everyone else has stated a must visit to this tidy tiny bar. We grabbed 2 ham rolls, 2 small beers for 8 euros. Found a quiet spot in the sun, watched the people go about their business. Brillaint stop whilst wondering the streets of...More

Lovely place to stop and have a snack or spend an evening sampling the chichetti - the lasagna was particularly lovely. Wine is very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. One of the best places we visited in Venice.

There were always locals eating and drinking here. The spritz and wine were excellent and very reasonably priced and the little cicheti were amazing. It really is the best and cheapest way to eat in Venice. A bar crawl, or giro di ombre, is the...More

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six

neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San
