We stayed at a hotel close by and were actually going to go to a different restaurant, That one, however, opened too late for us to make it to the Deep Purple concert. Ristorante 'Da Artemio' had time for us already at 7pm. We didn't...expect much but were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the 'gallina padovana' as an appetizer to share. The apples accompanying this dish gave it a very interesting flavor. Home made pizza bread straight from the oven - delicious! We ordered tagliatelle with porcini (ceps) mushrooms, 'tagliata' steak also with porcini and a variety of fillets on a spit. All of these dishes very tasty. Rrustem, the owner, brought us some good wine to go with the meals and even offered a 'digestivo' after dinner. Next concert in Padova.... we will be back! Thank youMore

Our desk clerk at the AC hotel recommend this as one of her favorite places to eat. Its about 5km from this hotel and would be difficult to find with out a GPS address. A large parking lot around back provided ample parking. We walked...directly into a large banquet dining area with windows all the way around and unbelievable gorges woodwork and a sea of tables with white table clothes. Really impressive. It was the middle of the week and arrived early a little after 8pm and the restaurant was not crowded only 8 couples and a couple more who drifted in later. The menu and the wine list were both impressive I ordered the rumpsteak and salad and a side of brat potatoes and my wife ordered the fish. The potatoes were a mistake for the entre came with potatoes and there was so much food we could not eat it all. The food was delicious and the steak was a prime cut meet. I choose the house red and was brought more than a half liter in a stoneware crock pitcher cost was less than 9e. We were unable to finish all the wine but it was excellent. At the end of the evening Chef Beppe made an appearance and ensured each costumer was satisfied with their meal. I would be shocked if he got many complaints. Our total bill was only 45.5e and did not include a small tip we left for the extra service. This was our best restaurant experience on our two week Italian tour and we will definitely return here next year, perhaps we will stay at the Hotel Sagittario which is conveniently located.More

Artemio is the restaurant associated with the Hotel Sadittario. It's a 300m. walk from the hotel door. W ate there last night & we're still raving about it. The room is richly appointed & an outdoor garden space is equally inviting. The staff was attentive...& actually let us in 15 min before actual opening time (7:30) We chose the warm & richly appointed indoor dining room as opposed to the beautifully layer out & lit garden outdoors. We started with aMore

After a long day in Venice, we were looking for something to eat, since we were starving. We entered the restaurant at 22:45, and since it closes at 23:00, we were sure that we would be kindly sent home. To our suprise, we were invited...to seat down, in a very warm and kind manner. The waiter immediately brought us a couple of menus in italian. Since we don't speak italian, we asked if there were any english menus. The waiter said that he would go and check. He came back 2 minutes later with no other than the Chef, Beppe. From that moment on we had the most amazing dinner we ever had in Italy! The food was amazing, and although the restaurant was already closed, Beppe made us feel right at home. He took the order himself, explained everything we wanted to know about the courses, offered dessert, coffee and lemonchelo after we finished the excellent main courses, (raviolly with ricuta, spinach& tomatoes, and pork meddallions with cheese). The food was amazing!! Moreover, what made this dinner unforgettable for us was Chef Beppe, and the way he treated us. He made feel like we had a private chef, only for us, although it was way past closing time. I wish I had this kind of chef in my hometown... Anyway the bill was only 44 euros, and we intend to return as soon as possible. A great restaurant with an amazing Chef! Trattoria Da Artemio 16 reviewsMore

This restaurant--and it IS a restaurant, though one that happens to serve pizza, too--so close to the Hotel Sagittario, is a delight! From the start, with an unusually user-friendly prosecco/fruit aperitif, to the limoncello finisher, the whole restaurant experience was pure pleasure. Aesthetically speaking, the...lovely 1950s woodwork that adorns the dining room should intrigue those who love this kind of art, but more to the point, I have never had more carefully cooked fish outside of Sicily or France. This is very skilled, high level cuisine, indeed, and at a fair price. The wine selection is excellent and very deep. Our old Cabernet Franc was carefully opened and decanted by a server who clearly loved wine, and it was a pleasure from beginning to end. The little ravioli with tomatoes and rucola would make an Italo-American auntie weep with pleasure, and if your tastes take you more to pizza, you or your kids will be delighted. Each pizza could feed a starving teenager or two discerning adults. Really, it would be sad to overlook this fine resto.More

Nice setting, gracious welcome, and the best rombo (turbot) we have ever had. It was huge, prepared for two in an oven, with lots of contorni, like potatoes, carrots etc. Location is way out of town and a bit hard to find, but worth the...hunt. And if you are staying at the Hotel Sagittario (which we also recommend highly), it is just a 300meter stroll.More

We ate there two nights in a row. The pizzas are good but very big. The service was outstanding. I tipped graciously. The next night we visited again. Service was excellent and even when my wife's favorite dessert was out, terrmasu, they concocted a strawberry...dessert that went over the top. Pictures included. Since we are here a few more days, we will return for a third visit. Happy to pay for good food and great service on vacation.More
