For anyone wanting to shop for typically Italian products, be it fresh produce, cheeses, hams, canned food, pasta, oils, sweets or wines, this is the place to go. Yes the prices are rather high and similar products of the same category are to be found for sometimes even half a price somewhere else. There are hardly any shops that beat... More

Location: Turin central next to piazza San Carlo in a pedestrian area Atmosphere: fun, hectic and full of positive vibes. Great combination of shopping area and dining Service: busy and friendly FOOD: we ate at the cafe. Great salads the prosciutto is impeccably sweet and tasty. Lovely veggie polpettine. Perfect for a light lunch. I recommend it and will return.... More

My husband and I have heard very positive comments about Eataly in NYC (have not been there). Therefore, when we traveled to the Piedmont, I wanted to try the original Eataly which is in Turin. Unbeknownst to me, there were 2 Eatalys in Turin. The original is on Via Nizza. We went to the one on Via Lagrange. It turns out... More

Immediately after ordering the food the waiter insisted that we shall pay the bill before meal is served. We know that paying before service is rendered is common in cinemas, buses and other institutions; but at a restaurants? We asked the waiter for the reason for this innovative idea - and he replied that customers use to leave without paying...... More

This was our second time dining at Eataly.. the first time we were slightly confused about the set up, however the food was enjoyable, so we decided to return. We were after a light lunch, ordering from the short menu upstairs. We tried the lasagna and some vegetable balls with aoili and both dishes were absolutely delicious. With generous portions,... I live in Turin and visit this place sometimes because the coffee is very very good. The rest is total disappointment! Cuisine - really bad, especially for the money you pay, supermarket is expensive as well, while there is nothing special compared to supermarkets in Turin. Way too overpriced apperitivo, when there is Farmacia in 200 meters. I would suggest... More

Having eaten at Eataly establishments in NY and Chicago, where the food compared modestly favorably to local alternatives, I was skeptical at trying Eataly in the motherland of Italy itself. A colleague persuaded me, suggesting "maybe it's better than in the states because it's in-country." (As suggested by the name. ) As it turned out, three of us agreed that... More

So my friend and I, went aroud some piazza and eventually decide to have a tea at Eataly cofee shop in via Lagrange. First of all they do not have English breakfast tea but only Darjeeling- notoriously afternoon... More

Had a quick lunch here before we left Turin. It's near the Egyptian museum and more expensive and smaller than its cousin in Lingotto which we also visited. Here you get a bag of bread for 2e, rather than water and bread for 1e. However our lunch was very tasty - a chicken and courgette salad with a few leaves... More

Although the meal arrived within two minutes of ordering, the appearance was decent. The tomato sauce was flavoursome however the prawns were overcooked and the pasta hard enough to break a tooth. Do not waste your money here and eat elsewhere.
