We had lunch here on a sunny spring day whilst in Turin for a few days. The restaurant is situated in a lovely setting on the historic Piazza San Carlo. Our food choices of spaghetti vongole (clams) and tuna steak with mesclun salad were excellent and we'll prepared. The clams could have been slightly fresher, however, although the tuna was... More

This is one of those elegant cafes that are a pleasure to sit in, or even to stand at the bar. Not the cheapest of course, but the place is light and spacious. Great choice of snacks available.

It was this winter. By accident we stayed for a short while, but we would like stay for longer! Completely different world: the celebration of drinking coffee with a delicious cake in historic place! Great!!!

Nice unrushed coffee break with pleasant staff. Amazing historical location. Good time good fun good coffee and priced accordingly. 12 euros for two coffees is steep - but worth it -- once!

We were both exceptionally impressed with our experience over lunch. From the truffle on eggs to the great salads the experience was top notch. We were jaded in our view by our waiter. He was well dressed in his jacket and tie and had the perfect balance of presenting the meal with panache and style. He made the experience. So... More

The atmosphere alone made it well worth a visit to this historic cafe. The interior, with its barrel-vaulted ceilings, elegant chandeliers, long display cases, and pretty marble floors, harkened back to an older time, while the al fresco seats on Piazza San Carlo offered wonderful views of the surrounding square. Even if we found the coffee and desserts a bit... More

You must have coffee, lunch or a snack here as it's an iconic place. An institution since 1903 and definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, nice wait staff and not expensive by Australian standards.

Originally went in just for draught beer and slice of pizza. Ended up having a delicious pastry, too, and finished off with the Turin treat of Bicherin ( coffee and cream served on top of melted chocolate. Try it! Do eat inside because it is like stepping back 100 years. Superb surroundings and staff.

Thank Gillian W
