Very kind people that care about the quality of what is offered. Makes you feel at home. Price is also honest.

A small and typical tavern close to the main square. Very nice atmosphere. We have made a travel through the menu, trying a little of everything that was proposed that evening . Everything was delicious. The owner was very nice and the service very good. The wine recommended was perfect. Excellent choice for a cold Friday evening!

This is the most atmospheric little enoteca we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It is hundreds of years old and oozes charm. The very pleasant owner is warm and welcoming. Wine is fabulous. Food is fabulous (try the traditional Piemontese Bagna Cauda). Whats not to love?

We had lunch in this cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. The selection of wines is wide, unlike the food choice. Nevertheless the products were fresh and very tasty.

Had a wine tasting with a hiking group. We couldn't have been more impressed. Three wines, lovely dishes of bruschettas, a fondu of anchovy, garlic and oil with vegetables, truffle on bread. It was all delicious and the owner and his family delightful. One block back from the main street in Orta San Giulio.

We were hosted by VBT, Bea and Claudia, to a 3 course wine tasting. The wine tasting menu was appealing. The local favorite, an anchovy fondue served hot with fresh vegetables and bread, bruchetta, cheeses, meats and dessert. A u inquest find on the shores of lake orta. One road back from the main square

The setting is picturesque and we opted to have the wine-tasting menu with tapas-style platters. Overall I'd say it was good value and an unusual location but the service was a bit lackadaisical, the young waiter (there was only one that we could see) had to be hauled over to the table each time we wanted the next glass to... Fantastic service, great wines and interesting local foods to eat. Especially recommend the Bagna Caöda which is essentially a warm white anchovy garlic and olive oil dip for fresh veg to be dipped into. Delicious!

My husband was quite taken with the dark, hidden alleyway restaurant. I was a bit skeptical, but I let him pick since it was our first visit to Lago Orta. We sat at a small table in the alleyway instead of inside (funny smell inside.) The waiter asked if we wanted aperitif or cena. We said cena which is dinner.... More
