We returned exactly after 12 months. It is Sunday. The Ristorante is fully booked. Then, at 2:30 p.m., a lot of guests are leaving the Restaurant. All inside the Ristorante looks like Chaos! The young waitress with long dark brown hair is showing bad mood and she is uninterested in new guests or customers. A phrase says that live could... More

This charming sit down restaurant right is right on the main square (which is really a triangle). We struggled a little with communication with our limited Italian. My original meat came back way overdone but they graciously made me a new entrée. Value was terrific.

We did "pranzo" (lunch). Informal setting. Prompt service. Good food. Large portions. Very, very affordable. Filled with locals ... recommended by our hotel (Hotel Lis which is a fine property ... I will review also). It was just really good. I had the octopus (so hard to find on American menus). Wife had pasta. A bottle of Arneis (local dry,... More

We were walking back to our motor home with the intention of having lunch in the van, as when we travel around Europe we try to do so as cheaply as possible. Normally eating out isn't on our schedule, but as we were walking down the arcade we could smell the most wonderful smells from the outdoor tables at this... More

The restaurant is located at the corner and hosts a shadow terrace. The waitress was nice and prices are very good, ~8 euro for a pasta, ~15 for a main course. Why certain dishes were only for dinner wasn't clear (braised steak was fine, burger was for dinner?) but it was told with typical Italian charm. Unclear but friendly, works... More

Good service, once we were seated. Helpful and understandig staff who made our dinner easy with our 1,5 year old daughter. The food was fine and wine was great!

Located on the main piazza of Asti, enjoy a nice lunch on the porch. Cheap lunch with combo plates. Everything is fresh and we'll served. Small prices. 8 to 10eur for a lunch. A good place to stop when visiting Asti.

On our first ever visit to Asti, we happened onto Osteria del Palio the first evening. It was close to our hotel - Hotel Lis. How lucky we were. Decorated nice. Homey. Friendly staff. And, most of all great food at a modest price. They worked so hard explaining the meals in English to us. We returned the next two... More
