We had lunch on a Sunday at Campanaró, who have been making gluten free dishes for the past 10 years and have their whole menu available GF. So first, I'd like to point out we were probably the only foreigners in the restaurant : it...was all families, friends, ... Locals. So that must be a good sign, right? The restaurant itself is really nice and cosy, and the staff was wonderful and helpful. Our Italian is really bad and we were waited on either in English or in French (we are native French speakers). Now, most important thing, the food: it was fantastic! I'm gluten sensitive (not my husband) and the whole menu can be made gluten free! It was delicious, and a great opportunity to discover traditional Piemontese cuisine. We started off with primi piati and went for the in-season truffle specialties : my husband had the tagliatelle (regular) and I had the gnocchi (GF). Not only was it delish, but the amount of fresh truffles was insane, and the cost was so decent compared to what we are used to...! As for secundo piato, we had the veal meatballs and rabbit (all GF): again, our taste buds went crazy happy. Needless to say we HIGHLY recommend this place to all food lovers (GF or not).More

Everything was exactly as we were hoping for (after reading the great reviews)! Booked on the same day just be sure, had amazing welcome, the service and the recommended wine pairings were excellent, we had a proper, all-out, best of the region gourmet experience. 3...courses each (including 1 white truffle dish) , 3 glasses of wine, 2 coffees for less than 100€. We will be back for sure! PS: wild boar stew with prunes, fresh pasta with rabbit is a must!More

We visited the restaurant for lunch and enjoyed a perfect main dish with black truffles. Gorgeous wine list and a well sorted enoteca below. Perfect service and friendly suggestions for choosing food and wine, with really very good knowledge regarding wine. A place for food...and wine lovers!! We will certainly visit this place again!! Thanks!!More

Fresh, beautifully prepared, delicious food, from traditional family recipes on each of our three visits. We loved that the large selection of high quality wine was all available by the glass so that every course could be perfectly matched, both to the food and to...your personal tastes. The owner and his team are welcoming, knowledgeable and do their best to ensure a perfect dining experience. I hope to return to this restaurant the next time I am in town, the sooner, the better.More

I do believe this restaurant express the best quality/price ratio. Go there if you are looking for traditional courses, combined with a wide choice of local wines added with friendly hospitality.

We found this spot on Trip Advisor. Easy to make a reservation on-line. Walked from our hotel. Family owned. Small menu with some great choices. Food was very good, but we wouldn't say great. The wine experience was fabulous. Talked to the sommelier, son of...the owner. Very knowledgeable. He is willing to pour a glass of almost any of these extensive collection of wines. A downside for us was we felt rushed. For a wine and dine experience like this, we expected a slower pace.More

As a group of female friends we have eaten some excellent food this week around Piedmont. Our final dinner was top notch, white truffle on light cheese soufflé to start and porcini tagliatelle main course were really spot on, seasoning just right and well balanced....The wine recommendations were truly local and perfect with our food. Thank you for a great dinner.More

Family run, passionate about the food and wine they serve. We were in a group celebrating. One of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. Wonderful wine journey courtesy of the kindness of one of our group. We plan to return next year

A quick pit stop in Asti on the way to Barolo brought us to this restaurant on the main road through the town. Family run: Dad is head waiter and son is the well qualified sommelier. Wines were excellent, including some very special glasses through...the CoraVin. Food was also delicious with some interesting twists on traditional northern italian dishes.More
