I had booked our table a week in advance. When we arrived, we were given a table between two large groups. When we asked for an "antipasto misto", we were told that Italians never shared their food and that we would have to order separately. A strange answer, indeed. We were not trying to save money, but were hoping to... More

Da Giacomo is a (mostly) Seafood Italian restaurant. Everything we had from starters to mains to desert was so tasty that I almost felt depressed that I couldn't eat more ! The ambiance is very lively and staff are helpful. I think reservations are definitely necessary since we went there in midweek for dinner and it was packed all night.... More

Absolutely charming restaurant. Lovely turn of the century setting, great selection of catch of the day fish. The array of seasonal shell fish was gorgeous. We chose Scorpion fish for mains and it was delicious. The seafood risotto was also superb. In fact, from the pizza amuse bouche on the food was faultless. Wine prices were expectantly overpriced, but the... More

Not to be mistaken with its sibling outlet around the corner, the hip more happening Giacomo Bistrot which is designed to look like an old school Hogwarts style library, Da Giacomo is the more matured focused of the two. Seasonal Italian seafood is obviously the focus of the menu. Something that isn't easy to stumble upon in Milan which is... More

I enjoyed a lovely meal with my family but the waiter told me the tip was not included which of course it was. I paid without a tip-I had planned to leave 5 euros anyway but again he said that service was not included and I need to leave a tip. Sad to be harassed like that

I took my mother here who was visiting Milano from the USA. This was by far one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was delightful and the service was outstanding. The primi piatti offer delicious pasta dishes and the seafood is cooked to perfection. I had the granseola alla veneziana, gnocchetti alla Giacomo, black cod, and... More

When you walk in you are greated by a small mountain of fresh caught fish and shell fish on ice. You name it they have it and the dishes are prepared to perfection. Different assorted shell fish to start. The a sole grilled perfectly and assorted grilled fish as mains. An excellent wine list with loads of regional wines to... More

My wife and I were recently in Milan on a business and culinary trip. As usual, our first supper was at Da Giacomo, a venerable restaurant reminescent of turn of the past century Milan; Which we love and it never disappoints. Seafood is wonderfully and simply prepared and its freshness is evident in every morsel. A salute to the curteous... More
