I've never felt the need to review a restaurant however my experience was such that I would suggest you make another dining choice when in Milan. The food was very poor and the service deplorable.

We got there early - just us... Waiter was very helpful, fun and friendly and made the dinner much more enjoyable. Wine selection is pretty good. Melon appetizer was very good as was the meat plate. The scallops were very fishing tasting and covered in Panko. We did not finish. Their fish appears to be the special, but there pasta... More

Came here as part of a group of about 12 from a business meeting. Restaurant was quiet, and struck me as quite formal. Waiter was quite efficient if quiet and gave us some time to read the menu properly. They did have English menu translations which helped me for sure! I had some baked mussels to start which were good... More

We stumbled on this little gem hidden down a narrow alley. The atmosphere was formal, but inviting. Our young waiter spoke English and was very warm and friendly. The older Italian gentleman was very reserved, but cordial. We ordered the Branzino for two. The fish was whole, crescent shaped and baked. The waiter prepared our plates at the table. Along... Nice ambiance, very central in a quiet little street, kind service staff, good food. Fish is their specialty, but they also have a good selection of cheeses

The food was great, and the portions were quite big too. However, the service wasn't too good, slow and rather poor overall.

Recommended by the hotel (Why ???). Hard to find. Two waiters, one really friendly the other hardly said a word. Risotto great. Gnocchi nice but heavy. Chateaubriand, normally a favourite of mine had a lovely sauce but was a huge lump of bleeding partly gristly meat. A smaller quantity of better meat would have been preferred. Complimentary limoncello a nice... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
