We tried the "pizzoccheri", typical pasta from Valtellina, even if Princi is specialized in pizzas and sadwiches. The level of such past was very good, and so the parmigiana. We tried a cannolo (sweet roll made with milk cream), and it was very tasty. The only con here was that the cannolo was already prepared and not made instantly, so... More

Its a bit of a hectick place. Because it is bussy all the time. But sitting outside, with the deslious fresh pizza is really making everyone happy. Good quality food, for a fare price.

I enjoyed a meal in the happy hours in the evening here. It's not expensive and has very friendly staff. They recommended drinks that were authentic and helped me get vegetarian food too!

We had breakfast here and stopped later at a different one for coffee and cake. I have the croissant, eggs and bacon! Very tasty. The tirimisu was very good!!! I had my 8 year old son who is quite picky with food and managed to feed him with croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice!

We came by on a late Saturday afternoon for tea break and we can sum this place up as chaotic. Plenty of customers and shortage of staff. Food was ok but not the coffee.

The businesses of this place is a deterrent. It's a local chain. And it's packed. You have to wait in line to order food. Wait in another line to pay. And wait in another line to get drinks. And the outside tables do not get cleaned off that much.

We visited this bakery many times during our three day stay in Milan. It is only around the corner from the Duomo, in a small back lane, but oh how busy this place is and rightly so! Great value breakfasts and wonderful coffee. But it is the bread and pastries which stand high above all else. Give yourself a treat... More

Full marks for convenience to this charming bakery and cafe just off Moscova Line 2 Metro in Milan. Unfortunately, the process of identifying and buying the elements of a meal here are rather chaotic and complex, with different counters issuing coupons for different items. That efficiency issue apart, the place is quite popular and the quality and the range of... More

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
