We came across this little restaurant while out shopping. A quick coffee persuaded us that we should call back for dinner. The waiter (from Casablanca) was so friendly and welcoming as he recognised us as a couple who had called earlier in the day, and was attentive throughout our stay. The waiter provided us with lots of different breads and... More

Two months ago, while in Milano we were starving, and decided to go to this place. It was completely booked. You couldn't sit inside or outside, so we decided to go elsewhere and ended up in Bar Madonnina. This time, we went again and we got a table. What a mistake! For starters, there was only one waiter taking care... More

It was a buzzy day, half term and the streets were full of children, parents and grandparents dressed in fancy dress for a local celebration. I had just spent a nice hour visiting the roof of the Duomo and wanted a local dish. Risotto Milanese is one of my favourites and I had been to this restaurant a few years... More

Ristorante San Carlo is a great place to go whether it be for drinks, appetizers at the bar, or a full-fledge dinner experience! Expensive but really good. Great experience. The waiter we had was amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly.

The food was late , the taste was Nothing special Furthermore it was terrible and i started to feel sick during the meal. Never do it again - there's a macdonalds really close .... in any case. Almost for 40 euros for a horrible sandwich and a simple pasta. Like i said ...never again.

I've just been to Milan, and was appalled at the crowds and the generic food the restaurants offered at a high price. However, this local gem was so special, and my husband and I enjoyed one of the best meals we ever had. In fact, we returned the following night, and again, another unusually good meal was had, which is... More

We sat outside people watching. Very attentive service. Be aware of 7euro cover charge. An expensive lunch. Sophisticated menu.

Wow. Having been to this restaurant a few nights ago I've just got round to doing the review, and must say I'm surprised by the amount of negative reviews it has. First the service, our waiter was attentive and couldn't do enough for us, he helped us choose our wine as we weren't familiar with the offerings. The cost, yes... More

The pizza's are pretty good as are the salads. We sat outside under the shaded area, watching the world walk by. It is a nice area and the staff are not too bad. For the tourist there is a 3.00 euro service charge per person. This is on top of you normal meal bill. So for a family of four... More

We were very impressed with this excellent restaurant in a quiet church square; the Piazza San Carlo which is very close to the famous Duomo and on the great shopping street Corso Vittorio Emmanuelle II. The food was very good and the wine selection excellent. Highly recommended for an "al fresco" dining experience in Milano.

The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
