My partner, youngest daughter and I, while in Milan, decided to drop in at the Ristorante Pizzeria Da Cecco for a pizza dinner. Its broad menu catered to all tastes. I loved their calzone, my daughter had a vegetarian and my partner a tuna pizza. Lovely with a great glas of Valpolicella Ripasso.

Da Cecco is the architype of a good Italian restaurant. I speak Italian, but this is not the 100 percent must there, they adopt you from the moment you get in. Good food, fast and friendly service .... and the casino as you are in Italy. I always want to go back. Price level not the cheapest and some wines... More

In an area of Milan filled with tourists' traps, Da Cecco shines as an example of real Milanese cuisine. Our hotel directed us to another restaurant in the area, but as it was Saturday at 9pm and we didn't have a reservation, so we were unable to dine there, but the owner suggested that we check out Da Cecco. I... More

The food at this restaurant isn't really special if you're a foodie but it was fine and the prices seemed reasonable. We thought the service was good. We booked online and so got a 25% discount which was good (although we had to ask for it).

This is a true Italian restaurant! Personalized service from the owner, who is always focus. I went during Christmas dinners of several companies, very noisy and lively, ideal for a cold night. The food was really good. I strongly recommend.

We had lunch here with a large group of Belgian tourists visiting Milano and surroundings. Very welcoming and friendly staff and a delicious Milanese menu at an reasonable price for this city. Only 20 minutes walk to the city centre with the Scala, Vittorio Emanuele Gallery and cathedral. Thank you Teresa & staff!

1. My grandmother wanted to eat a soup, called minestrone, the waiter told us:"the soup is finished, because they will make tomorrow morning". 2. I ordered gnocchi with gorgonzola and radish, I got gnocchi with tomato sauce and mozzarella. 3. We ordered grilled chicken, they told us:"no chiken, just beef and pork". 4. We wanted to eat a dessert. We... More

Average food really although the specials a little better. Pleasant decor but ambience ruined by loud electro-pop piped music. Who do they think really wants it when eating traditional Italian food.

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
