I think this place, although characterized by a cuisine tipical from the region of Tuscany, offers one of the best pizza I've ever tried. I used to get their pizza since I was a kid with my nonna and the rest of the family. The...way its done, is simpy amazing! Thick crust, very crispy on the outside, from the olive oil used at the bottom of the big pizza pan, and then a layer of mozzarella cheese that simply melts both on the pizza and in your mouth. This Pizza reminds me of home, meaning something familiar. I'd also suggest to try their steaks, as well as their first courses. Staff is amazing and very down to earth and they make ou feel like you are eating at home!More
It’s reasonable food here at a reasonable price. A good neighborhood pizzeria. There were lots of locals dining here tonight. Mainly a middle aged crowd. It’s middle of the road and simple fare here. I had a nice panzenella to start. The only main dish...I thought I’d like on the menu - beans with sausages - was out of season. I ended up choosing a tolerably tasty seafood salad albeit that it had that fake crayfish roll stuff in it. The calamari was good in the dish though and so were the shrimps. A good thing as it was a comparatively expensive dish. I wasn’t keen to have pizza at all tonight and I’d have to say that on first view on the other tables the pizzas looked awful. Huge, thick and doughy, the complete opposite of thin crust with a crispy base. My partner had a pizza though and gave me a couple of bits. It was actually moderately reasonable and had a crispy base. The other attendee at the dinner had lasagne having originally been seeking a snack. Service was pleasant throughout. It was an OK experience.More
After walking a lot we found this restaurant on our way but fully. Decided to wait a bit to taste it and was worth it! Home made pizza, nice small place.Possible to choose from various type of tops, margarita is the basic. Big triangel slice...costs around 8 euro. They can also speak english. Real italian experience!More
Antica Pizzeria Fiorentina offers one of the best PIZZA AL TRANCIO in milano and several regional tuscany plates at affordable price in an informal environment. Ideal for quick nice lunch or dinner. Always very crowded
We were told of this place from a worker at a small Carrefour grocery near our Best Western Ascot. We took so long hoofing it on foot but later found out it was take tram #16 get off at MonteNero at via Bergamo then go...to the #9 that says Porto Genova and get off at Via Bligny. Then a real treat, I think the owner is Tuscan looking at the menu, we had a rucola salad and I had killer eggplant parm although I wanted Cotelletta Milanese but it sure was good and my partner had lasagna and great red wine for lunch then we came back for dinner and had Tuscan sausage and grilled veggies and I had vitello tonnoto excellent with the great red wine, moderate for Milano and such a sweet waitress Emanuela. We told them we were from New Orleans and will send her a postcard. It was totally locals.More
