Order expresso at the bar to avoid table upcharge and have one the the wonderful pastries. It's a great break from the shopping!

Sparkling chandeliers, alluring displays, beautiful desert packaging. It is definately an experience worth having while in Milano. Aristocratic and from another era. Be prepared though, as the coffee is one of the most expensive in Milano.

If you are in town, if you are Via Montenapoleone, if you are anywhere close to Cova: just pass that door step and ask to be seated (the bar just won't do it). You'll love it! It is chic and authentic. A must!

Cova is a good choice for those who are into spending a lot of money for very little food or drinks in a chic place. In no other place in Milan would you get a brioche and capuccino for 9 Euros (this is the price at the table, you would pay 4 euros at the bar). I also found the... More

The place has a great location, but the ratio of quality and price is quite bad. Service was soso ( we had to wait long to be seated, staff noticed us but ignored) and did feel forced.

This is a great and typical Italian coffeeshop in a luxury shopping location. Fantastic espresso and pastries. A must is the vanilla croissant :-)

This trip we went Cova Montenapoleone everyday for lunch or breakfast or just coffee. The ambiance is lovely and next year will be its 150th anniversary. The service is great, the ambiance is great and the coffee and food is really good.

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
